Peanut

This book introduced my children (boys, ages 5 and 3) and I to the author David Lucas. We absolutely loved the illustrations and the story is so cute. We first got the book from the library and when they kept reading it over and over and over, AND we ended up renewing it over and over, I decided to buy it. Amazon had the best price. It shipped quickly and we have ready it plenty of times since. I definitely recommend the author's books.

A friend bought this book for my son years ago and it came with a small soft toy 'Peanut' who fast became my sons favourite toy for a couple of years. I've marked a star down as this edition comes with only a press out bookmark. However, the story is so lovely and was such a great hit in our house, that I have now ordered a new copy to give to my sisters daughter for Christmas. Your child won't be disappointed with this book (especially if you do voices for the characters)

My nearly 5 year old loves this book, and we have been able to get him to start recognising words in it, particularly "Peanut" and "Beetle". I'd recommend this to anyone with small children looking for a good story to keep their attention, and for slightly older children learning to read for themselves.

Oh how we enjoy this book, any book for a 3 year old is judged on how many times we as adults have to read it, this one is requested time and time again
