Having a terrible time installing the driver. I have no internet since I need this device to connect. I used a laptop connected to my Wi-Fi to download the driver from a link provided in the questions and put it on a thumb drive. Now I'm trying to install it but it's in another language and I don't know what it's asking me!

After my 2 in 1 fell and broke its internal WiFi/Bluetooth unit, I realized I couldn't plug a WiFi adapter and a bluetooth adapter for a game controller at same time. This was suppose to be a dream device, it was perfectly shaped and sized and barely saw any others with both wifi/bluetooth, but it was a joke. The wifi worked and still does, but performance is as weak as the little nubs I have that are old as hell. I personally never got the bluetooth to work, so I had to use a USB 4 slot extender anyways so it defeated the purpose of having both wifi and bluetooth.Overall it was crap, the plastic casing fell off, then again half the adapters I've bought off Amazon I've had to super glue. But despite doing that, when I dropped the 2 in 1 laptop (bad luck I guess), it landed right on the adapter, casing busted off and is bent 45 degrees. Crazy cause it still works, but I have no use for it now, and plan to replace with basic wifi nub. Cause I need real speeds for gaming and streaming the desktop to it1 star is harsh, its more like a 3, but since my expectations were high and dreams crushed, it's a 2 for me. A positive would be, it doesn't over heat like all the other adapters I have and just worked without issues unlike others I've bought on Amazon, of course was a hassle in other ways stated earlier. Chances are I should have returned it or looked for answers, but for $23 I expected a whole lot more, wished I never bought it. Of course the $20 nice wifi unit with antenna I bought to replace this died in 6 months and isn't working period and the nub I'm using now randomly stops working all the time, so other shit ain't much better.

The description says that it works on Linux and the package says it works on Linux, the WIFI DOES NOT WORK ON LINUX. Bluetooth does work with no problem. The device works on Windows and Mac with no problem. Im not mad at the seller but at the maker of this device. If you're buying it to work on Linux, save your money cuz the WIFI doesn't work. I tried it on MXLinux as well as Linux Mint 19. It doesn't work and none of the drivers you find work for this device either.

Installed on a new build using Intel S2600CP server board, which has an on board USB plug.Initially, I couldn’t get the 5GHz to get more than 1Mbps. Turns out it was my router. I initially had it set at 1733Mbps as my other WiFi adapters had no problems. This however didn’t like that setting. I had to lower it to 800Mbps and now the thing is humming along.Love the fact that it has built in Bluetooth. Makes it very convenient to have both WiFi and Bluetooth in one little package.

My WiFi antenna needed to be replaced so I thought I'd purchase this until I have time to repair the antenna. Waste of 25.00, the drivers are old, the WiFi is 10% of what I was getting with my built in card. I just installed my card and antenna ,now zooming along. You can buy a card for 20.00 and an antenna wire for 8.00, you'd better off than this poor excuse for a signal. I do not recommend this product, useless is what it is.

Very finicky. BSOD on installation. Uses Realtek drivers, generic MS driver for Bluetooth. Included "how-to videos" are for an entirely different product. On-line driver page is in China-ese and driver is obsolete/archived. Not for the average user.

I found this to be extremely useful and have used it for a good few months right now. I can kind of direct the antenna to where I believe the signal is strongest and overall it has worked pretty seamlessly. This adapter works very well close to where the router or signal is stronger and I'd recommend its use closer to the signal or in an apartment vs a house.

I have never had a device that was more difficult too install than this one. The software drivers were exceedingly difficult to use, obtain and install! I have no hair left, from pulling it all out.
