False Advertizing, Right In The Title!
Should be entitled: "Kinda Sorta 'Never Been Stitched', If You Don't Count Half Of The Projects That Need To Be Stitched". Includes a pattern that makes a backpack out of a stuffed bear by, (1) cutting a slit across its back, (2) taking the stuffing out, and:( I quote directly here): "3. Hold the zipper up to the slit you cut in step 1, and carefully cut it so that it becomes the same length as the slit. 4. Position the zipper inside the slit and pin it in place (figure 2). 5. Sew the zipper into place." (Figure 2 shows the zipper pinned into place.)Those of you who don't sew, is that at all clear to you? Would you feel secure doing this, then giving it to a child? And, BTW, no instructions, anywhere, on how to securely hand sew, not even under the "Low-sew Techniques" section!I've been sewing for over 40 years. I started by hand sewing and can tell you that a hand-sewn zipper lasts for about three pulls, assuming it survives the first pull, by a child, on a resized zipper that hasn't been properly secured.I bought this gift for a friend who doesn't sew at all. If I don't return it, and end up giving it to her, I'm going to have to apologize for all of the "NEED TO BE STITCHED" projects.

Loved all of the projects!
I’ve been sewing my whole life, but I love a good project that doesn’t require pulling out the machine. So, I was very interested in the projects in Never Been Stitched, which include ideas from many different textile designers. I’m working on the No Sew Message Center, which requires no sewing, only gluing, and starts with an wood embroidery hoop. I’m just using fabric scraps that I have around the house, so it’s a zero cost project for me!Another creation I have my eye on is the Fabric Wrapped Wreath, which uses a wrap and pin technique that’s really simple. I love the rainbow effect and I certainly have a lot of spare remnants to use for it. I also like that my daughter, who is new to sewing, found so many things she wanted to make. She loves all the bright and happy ideas, including several adorable ones specifically for kids like the cute Caterpillow!
