Easy Portuguese Course for Beginners: Learn the basics for everyday conversation

Very good learning tool. Would like to be a bit faster with the easy parts, but more detailed with the more complicated ones. All in all, very happy.

Bought the CDs after reading reviews. The course lasts between 3 and 4 hours and introduces basic phrases which are useful for holidaymakers. I like the presentation: you hear and then repeat parts of a dialogue, it is slightly repetetive but has the advantage that you are listening as well as speaking. I find this more practical, as it is more of a short dialogue, rather than just repeating isolated phrases. I have also bought a phrase book to supplement the vocabulary in the accompanying book.

Good way to accustom oneself to the verbal language and the grammar. I liked it. It is quite short and the 3 CD's definitely need to be listened to several times so that it sticks. To the untrained ear it sounds like the Portuguese run words into each other and speak fast, but that may be down to lack of training. This course really helps to overcome that.

Comes with a booklet and 3 cd’s and it is easy to follow and understand if you are going on holiday or just want to learn the language

Progressed to quickly, didnt start with basic phrases was talking about getting in a lift! Good if you know the basics and enjoyed having it play in the car. But for me it was to advanced

Came in great condition. Portuguese is a very hard language and so I gave up. But the CD was fantastic and a great way to learn

Learning a little Portuguese in easy bites for a holiday. This is a good course and is very helpful with pronunciation, which is difficult to convey in written form. Recommended highly.

When I travel abroad I like to learn at least a little bit of the language of the country I'm visiting. Collins makes it easy to learn by listening and repeating, and the lessons provide words and phrases that are generally used in simple conversations. Wasn't my first purchase of a Collins language product and I hope it won't be my last. This is for EUROPEAN Portuguese, which is different from Brazilian Portuguese and was one of the few I could find.

I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my 12 year old niece. She seemed to really like it but don't know if she's used it yet.

I received this Audio CD set today. Shipment was prompt - no complaints there. However, I don't consider it a true language learning course. I would only recommend this for an absolute beginner who needs to memorize a few very basic and specific questions. It didn't serve my purpose as I already have some knowledge of Portuguese and wanted to progress to an intermediate level. I didn't learn anything new.

I bought this set of three CDs and booklet to help me prepare for a trip to Portugal. I wanted to get a basic understanding of the language. The program went at a moderate pace, not too fast or too slow, and it covered a lot of words that were very useful. I had a very successful trip as a result.
