Bought for a little cavachon, so small size purchased. Was hesitant based on the reviews about it not sticking to the bowl, but decided to give it a go. My dog was inhaling her food rather than eating it and was starting to gulp in too much air, so i needed something that would slow her down.Have now been using it twice a day for over a week and already i can see that she is not bloated at all. Definitely slows her down.Haven't had a problem with it not sticking to the bowl at all.I use a stainless steel bowl, pop it in, add the food (scrambled egg in the morning, soaked kibbles and some meat in the evening). It then comes straight out when she is finished. Bowl and stopper go onto the top rack of the dishwasher to be cleaned for next use.Brilliant bit of kit. Very impressed. Does what it says it will do.

Tried using this in stainless steel bowl. Each time it came loose whilst dog eating. On third occasion, I lost sight of it and then found my puppy had grabbed it, was chewing it and within moments had bitten pieces off it. Threw the pieces in the bin to avoid risk of pup choking on bits. Strongly recommend avoid this!! Instead I use a stainless steel bowl which has an integral 'mound' in the centre. totally safe, effective and stops dog gulping food,

Such a fantastic item. My dog practically inhales her food and ends up hiccuping for ages after. It's slowed her down and stopped the hiccups. Would definitely recommend it.

My dogs didn't know what to make of these.They wouldn't stick to the bowl. They just got mixed up with the food and my one dog started to eat it ! It was very easy for her to turn it into a few sharp small pieces.
