Great rod for the money!
I was looking at the poor ratings but there was only one review. I couldn't figure out why this rod was getting mediocre reviews. I bought three of these early in 2021 and have absolutely loved fishing them. I use them for trolling and casting heavy lures/rigs. These rods perform fantastic and I have hauled in plenty of big trout, walleye and pike with them. They are build very well and are extremely affordable.

Broken tip within a few casts
In the short time i used worked great but quickly the tip broke after my 4th cast while a fish under 2lb struck my lure. Not sure if i just got a defected rod or what but for $70 was expecting a bit more durability. UPDATE Ended up getting another one and its held up great, think i just got unlucky with the first one and had a defect

North Carolina Backbone
I purchased this Okuma rod on a whim to match an Okuma reel in order to fish the inter-coastal waters of North Carolina. This rod is sensitive enough to detect the smallest of bites, and strong enough to land the multi species of fish these waters have to offer.
