I would love to be able to give this a 4-and-a-half star rating if that were possible. The fireplace is beautiful, relatively easy to install, and functional. It was meant to replace the gas logs we gave up on because they were ineffective. I did have an issue with the digital display not working properly after a few days service, but the manufacturer's Customer Service was prompt and accomodating and the issue was resolved completely to my satisfaction. I am delighted that the unit is strong enough to increase the temperature in our rather large family room by up to two degrees, which is enough to let the central heat take an economic break. The beauty of the flames cannot be overstated, and there are plenty of options to insure that your idea of the perfect flame is represented. In short, a beautiful and welcomed addition to our home from a company who stands behind its product.

I had a metal insert wood burning fire place. It had angled sides to focus the fire out while burning wood. Both sides were in the way of the unit going in all the way. I needed to remove about 12" on both sides to get the unit to fit. After cutting both sides out I installed an outlet inside the fireplace opening to hide the plug from view. The wife and I do not like to see cords if possible. This was possible as I extended the power from a convenient outlet just to the left about 16" away. I did need to add about a 1/4'-3/8" piece of wood painted black again to hide at the bottom to take up the last little gap that was there. This particular model/unit has a removable glass and three holes on the left and right to mount the unit from falling out of the opening, which I used. The unit was an easy install once the opening was ready. I repainted the metal just outside the edge of the insert in flat black it needed a small touch up.I like the packaging it came in plenty of Styrofoam and even built in handles in the box and in the unit itself for ease of moving the unit around. The many features are really great for all the variety you can have when in use: color change, hi or low fan real quiet, flame intensity (height), temperature control, timer in case you go to bed and forget to turn it off! I would recommend this unit to friends and I would buy it again should we ever move. I have to say that the customer service that I have experienced has been phenomenal!!! There is just one small inconvenience the remote which works fantastic!, is that the frequency the remote uses is the same frequency of our sound bar, upright fan, and our humidifier. So if you aim the remote in any area the other appliances are near you might affect their speed or operation. Also vice a versa try to operate one of the other remotes and it affects the fireplace. Not a big deal if you aim the remote just right! There might be a restriction on what frequency manufactures can use, or are limited to. Not Valuxhomes fault that would be my only change I would make if possible. Other than that you would make a good choice if you bought a Valuxhome electric fireplace insert!!!*** AGAIN CHECK YOUR FIREPLACE MEASUREMENTS AND THE FIREPLACE INSERT SIZE BEFORE PURCHASING SO YOU HAVE A GREAT OUTCOME AS WE DID!****Just a regular guy who likes to tinker.Thanks

The first was the flicker did not work and the other was the orange lights did not work in one section. I reached out to customer service via email and through Amazon messaging and had better luck with communicating directly through Amazon.Customer service was able to help me with both issues, which is why I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4. My advice to anyone who purchases this fireplace (and I know this sounds obvious but you never know) is to plug it in before installation. Make sure the flicker works, make sure all of the lights work while cycling through the lighting options, etc.I also can't speak to the heater performance since I have not used that feature and do not plan to as I live in south Florida and it's already hot as can be.With that being said, I would recommend this fireplace since customer service was helpful with resolving my issues. The one year warranty also gave me some reassurance while getting everything sorted out.

My husband and I built a fireplace surround out of wood. It looks beautiful and we spent weeks working on it. We followed the instructions exactly and used the cut out dimensions that were specified therein. When we put the fireplace box into the surround, the whole was way too big, even though we cut it to the exact cut out dimensions provided in the paperwork. My husband padded out the opening with some extra wood we had on hand. We plugged it in and tested all of the buttons. Everything works fine. Then, we went to put the glass front on, but one of the four connection points does not work. On the top right and left, there are hooks. The hook on the top right side does not connect correctly to the fireplace box. This throws off the alignment of the glass so that the right side is higher than the left and leaves a gap along the bottom where you can see the insert box below the glass. We have taken it off and tried again and again probably 10 times now. He has tried it. I have tried it. That one connection point just does not work.

I love this fireplace for the reason we bought it. We wanted a long narrow fire experience to go into a new room addition. We were not to interested in a bunch of colors or blazing heat output, so this worked out fine.Pros: Fit the dimensions we needed, easy install (once I fixed the bent hook) & very nice orange/yellow flame pattern.Cons: instructions are tiny and over simplified, Remote is quirky, blue LED’s are spread out to far & shipping packing could be stronger - especially on something this long.Lastly, I included my pictures to give a real look at this long 74” layout as I think the only included pictures of narrower fireplaces - which seem to . Seems they used the same number of LEDs as the shorter ones, just spread them out. It is very noticeable on the blue setting.

Plug in, turn on, almost instant heat; very satisfied at this point. Looking forward to winter to see how this heats up the living space, for now, nice ambiance at night.

We love the look of this fireplace and all the options for colours. It is very warm as well. Was a bit frustrating to install but we love it.

I looked at several different makes before choosing this one based on its looks, features, & price. It arrived very well packaged, assembly and installation was very easy. We have been using it daily since installation in Sept 2021 with no issues. Highly recommended.

We had our fireplace for a few weeks and then it started beeping while turned on and would not stop until we unplugged it. It did this a few times at first and now it will do it every time the fireplace it turned on. We loved the fireplace until this issue occurred! And we could not find any reset buttons!

Awesome little unit. The variety of lighting options has to be the best part. Was never a fan of electric but wasn’t willing to spend the money on gas for my basement. Was super content with this electric fireplace. The flame on this one looks much better than other electric fireplaces. Over all I give this unit a solid 10 out of 10.
