I guess it works. Know this though...
The product works in that it provides a strap so that you can easily "unlatch" the latch mechanism that holds the seatback in the locked position. That said, this latch that comes on your truck was not designed to be open and shut on a regular basis (clearly or they would have put a strap on it at the assembly plant). It is for "Service Purposes Only". Because of this, they did not put an immense amount of thought into the design of it. Why am I mentioning this??? In my case, I really have to SLAM (and I mean SLAM) the seatback in order to get it to lock back shut. With a little more though, Ford could have designed this latch to easily open and shut EVERYTIME without slamming it but... they didn't. So in summary, this product unlatches the mechanism. Getting your seatback to lock shut again... crap shoot!

Same quality as the BuiltRight model at half the price
I had jimmy-rigged a system on my 2013 F150 in order to fold down the rear seats of my supercrew truck and it was still kind of a pain to get them to release. Ended up trading that truck in and bought a 2018 and was hoping that Ford had fixed that issue with the new trucks....NOPE! I jimmy-rigged another one for my new 2018 and was not a fan of it so I did some searching and found this one. Received it quick and installed it with no hiccups whatsover. For people who have never folded down the rear seats, that is going to be the hardest part of the install. To install, you need to remove two Torx machine screws and slide the bracket up to remove it. The plate from Seven Sparta then slides on top of the bracket (between the screw head and the original bracket) and the red "loop" goes toward the inboard side of the truck. Slide the bracket back down into place and tighten the two Torx screws then fold the seat up. Easy Peasy!!There is NO NEED to buy the original seat release from Built Right industries...this is the same SAME exact thing for half the cost.NOTE: 2015-2018 Models only require one for the rear drivers seat. 2009-2014 models require two for the rear drivers and passenger seat.

It is what it says it is.
It is what it says.It came with directions, easy to install. Works as described. It actually took longer to get tools out, than it did to install.Fold bottom seat up, use close end wrench to reach pin, pull up. Rear of seat will release, fold down.Remove the 2 X T30 screws, install bracket, replace T30 screws.Ensure bar on back wall is at the top ( if you didn’t mess with it while doing the above, it should be where it needs to be)Lift rear upper seat ( hold onto the strap from the installed clamp) and give a good push. The clamp should lock into place with an audible click.Pull the strap to check if the seat releases.Lock seat in place again, and put tools awayThere would be a possibility of the strap falling behind the seat. Then would have to reach behind to grab strap. If this is a concern, simply use a zip tie through the loop on the strap and loop it around headrest post , secure it to the headrest post. But that is really not necessary.

Works Perfect! Easy to install...
High quality and works as intended.Install Tip: The new bracket slides down and on top of the seat latch. There's part of the latch that blocks the install if you drop it directly on top. Thus slide it under the metal flange from the top. There's a floating attachment bar on the cab. Make sure that the seat lines up with it before shutting. The driver side requires more of a slam than the passenger side to latch the seat. It's because the passenger side is of a different latch design with dampeners and helper springs. The driver side is a bit more industrial.

Great, Inexpensive Solution to Access Rear Seat Cargo Space
Installed easy and works perfect with 2019 F150. Everything you need for perfect, quick and easy installation of the Rear Seat Release Kit is included. Instructions are poor and hard to understand but that is easily fixed with a quick visit to Youtube to find a 2 minute video.Replacement was a breeze at about 25 min for the job, which also included some cleaning. The low cost of this Rear Seat Release Kit make this a great value.

Doesn't fit properly
I bought this for my 2018 Ford F150 XL STX Supercab. I figured out how to release the seat (which was no fun but found help on Youtube)Upon trying to connect this release handle to the release pin, I found that the metal connector is just too thick. I even tried pushing the pin out from the other side and still couldn't get it to slide on appropriately. If the pin is pulled too tight then the release mechanism won't function properly. I'm probably going to send this back and try a different one. Why would you make this so tight? all it has to do is hook on the pin.

Great must-have product!
This was really easy to install! I installed two of these on my 2010 F150 Lariat Supercrew. The hardest/longest part of the install was getting the seat backs down to install the seat releases, especially the passenger side seat. At first I thought they sent the wrong kit because angle on the part the strap goes through was not right, but the metal is thin enough to bend and fit to your seat. Like in other reviews I was having issues with having to slam the seats in order to have them latch. It looks like the original grease had dried up and gotten really sticky, so I sprayed everything down with some silicone lubricant and manually worked the mechanism a few times and now the close and lock easily. This is a great product that gives you access to more storage in your cab. I was stuffing jumper cables and a small socket set and other emergency and maintenance items under the seat, but now they are tucked away securely behind the seats. Great product at a great price!

Don't hesitate buy this NOW...
Not sure why this isn't stock on the F-150, but it should be! This allows easy access to the space behind the 3/4 bench seat in the rear cab. Which is amazing considering this is where I have my amp installed, and makes access ten times easier. Reaching back and trying to turn your fingers into something akin to stretch Armstrong's arm, and locate the silver release tab blindly gets old fast! This is a well made piece that installs easily and allows access by pulling on a tether that is easily accessible beside the headrest. WELL WORTH THE COST!!!

Very easy install.
This install took about 5 minutes including finding the T30 bit but to remove the latch on back of the seat. It works very well and allows enough room behind the seat for about 4 small duffle bags, car audio speakers or just makes your truck easier to clean. This instructions are clear but the writing is a little small and I have good eyesight.

Could be better.
Didn't fit as advertised. I had to grind down the red bit at the end of the strap to get it to fit on the bit from the truck (I should've taken pictures). Any who, I got it installed. It works okay. Really gotta slam the seat to get it to catch. I find in you push on the seat opposite where the latch is it catches better.

It came quickly, in good condition and was easy to install. It was for the rear seat in a 2021 Ford F150

Great product
Great product unfortunately didn't work with my particular model was my own fault however was very pleased with the quality and would have loved to keep them if you have a full backrest in your backseat no split in it this will not work

Worth the purchase and easy install.
Looks good feels solid and makes it a lot easier to flip the driver side rear seat back down. Without fishing your hand in and looking for the little tab.
