I ordered 3 different sizes because of the mixed reviews...I'm here to tell you that my daughter (normal sized 8 year old) needed a half size bigger than her regular street shoe size. So the size 4.5 fit her normal size 4 foot. I did NOT use the measurements in the size chart. I also want to say that with the half size bigger it gives us a tiny bit of growing room as well. Wanted to add: I also held up the size 4 to the 4.5 and there was not much of a length difference maybe only 1/4" - did not compare widths. But after many times retrying each on we settled on the 4.5. Good luck- I know it's frustrating with sizing but I hope I helped.

There seem to be a mix of reviews where some say it's true to size and other say it runs small. Our experience is that it runs small. In fact, we were switching from another brand size 11 to these in size 12 and these were no bigger than the 11's. My daughter just moved into a size 12 sneaker and the size 12 in these barely fit her. While she could wear them for now, there was no point as they fit her the same as the 11's she was growing out of. I was going to exchange for a 13, but the same seller charges A LOT more for that size, so we're going elsewhere. The shoes themselves seem really nice and were comfortable except for the size issue.

The product is well made but the sizing chart is wrong! ignore the sizing chart and go with the actual size you normally buy your child at a store.

I measured my daughter's foot and ordered the one that was closest. Her foot is 7.25" and runs regular to narrow. The size 13 fits her well. They are not tight, but they are also not loose. Other reviews said not to order too big for dance shoes, that's why I got the closest size instead of sizing up. After I got these and saw how they were made, I can see how the little padded heel might cause problems with their foot slipping off it if they were too big.

Purchased for 7 year old granddaughter who normally wears youth size 13 in regular shoes. I ordered a size 1 for her in these shoes. They fit great with a little growing room. They are easy for her to put on and take off herself. Very happy with the purchase. She's been in dance for 2 months and wears these shoes to dance class and home after hip hop. She has tap and ballet in between the two classes so these shoes have also received a bit of street wear but still look new.

Sizing b/c that’s why your probably reading reviews. My daughter is 8yrs old and wears a 1.5 to size 2 shoe. I bought a size 2 and they fit perfect. She has average size foot if that helps. The shoes seem to hold up great. She is a beginner dancer so only get used few times a week. After dance she sometimes runs around the driveway in her shoes before I catch her and so far they are still in good shape. So I’d say they are well made.

I ordered these for my daughter and they were too small. Quality was good. These are the second pair I was attempting to buy from this seller because the first were great. I returned at Kohl's Amazon kiosk and it couldn't have been easier. No line, instant refund back to my card. Didn't order a larger size with them because they didn't have the next size up.

The construction seems okay but these are really a lot darker than pictured. More of a dark taupe rather than the nude color I was expecting. The jury is still out on whether they will work for my daughter’s performance. I may be returning them and look for a local vendor so I don’t have any more surprises.

I ordered size 11 little kid and they'd be lucky to fit a size 9. Way too small. Cute shoe good quality but definitely dizing issue
