Well worth the price
I’ve been looking for something less expensive than the usually suggested iRig interfaces. I ran across this and after a little “research” I figured it was worth a shot. Refunds are a thing. Anyway, I don’t know why anyone complains about this unit. The speaker is adequate and actually sounds really great. No, you cannot crank both dials all the way up and go for, you need to find the balance between the gain vs volume. You can almost feel it when you dial it in. I ran it through my Peavy 1X12 and it blew me away. The tone and grind was off the charts. I had to turn it down, dude! The only caveat here is that you’re going to need an adapter or a cable. I opted out for the cable. It’s a shame these have been discontinued because they’re actually really useful and fun.

Good alternative to IRIG 2
Bought this because I needed an IOS interface for guitar Apps and this was about $10 less than the IRIG2 interface. As a bonus you get a small amplifier. I use Garage band and Tonebridge on an iPad. It works well for those applications. The AmpliTube App. included with the IRIG Nano is very limited unless you buy the add-ons.The hardware itself is well made with solid feeling connectors, switches and control nobs. The sound quality is about what you would expect with 3 Watts and a 3-inch speaker; however, it works great as an interface to a larger amplifier.I use rechargeable AA batteries which last several hours before needing a recharge. There is no internal charging capability in the Nano. The batteries must be removed for that.If you want a small practice amplifier / speaker with better sound quality and a super modeling application, Positive Grid Go is a better choice at about 4 times the Nano price. If you just need an IOS App interface and already have a larger practice Amp, the Nano is just right - and you get a small practice Amp for occasional use as a bonus.

Cheap speaker died in 30 seconds.
I bought this thing to go with my Irig when it arrived I put in the batteries and plugged in my guitar. Played on clean sound for a minute on amp mode just to hear the speaker. Decided before I plug in Irig I would turn up the gain just to hear it … it shorted out in less than thirty seconds and only crackles and pops now when you try to play it. Would not recommend. I love my Irig but this thing is very awful …

This little thing is amazing. Awesome little practice amp that I can use with the DAW’s on my phone and my computer. I’m really impressed. Worth the money for sure

Good for a amp head if don’t have money to buy one
I bought this primarily for my AmpliTube app I already purchased when I got the headphone Irig years ago and now I have something to connect to my 4x12 Crate cabinet speakers with that they do have a nice tone for the price I paid or it

OK sound. The batteries compartment is a bit brittle
Would love to see a new USB-powered version. Using batteries is not too environmentally friendly for me nor sustainable
