It comes from China and might actually be harmful to your dog! Whatever they use to tan or stain it smells very bad. It is hard to wash off your hands. No telling what chemicals they use... I ordered the burgundy one, and this might be the discrepancy between the satisfied owners and the negative comments.After almost a month I finally received the collar in the first place. Then I had to make three big adjustments and before I got this on my dog. Next, I let her out into yard. Unbeknownst to me, she ran away from home in fear! Thankfully, I had just put her identification on the new collar. A man called, and she had been running for nearly two miles! She's NEVER run away before. It was the awful smell of the collar that was driving her.When I picked her up, her eyes were still wide with terror, and she would not even drink cold water or relax until I took that awful collar off. After taking off her tags, it went straight in the trash, where it belonged.DON'T BUY IT!

This collar initially seemed to be of great quality. The leather was nice and durable. However, the buckle is comprised of a tougher metal frame (which I expected the whole buckle to be made of) and a flimsy, thin metal sheet rolled up to cover a big gap in the sturdy metal.My dog lives in my house with me; she is not a chained dog, but I do have to tie her when we go out because she will wander off and jump/bark at other dogs. (She is an unusually small German Shepherd, for size reference.)The flimsy metal sheet started to bend and I at one point actually cut my finger on the sharp exposed edge of the metal sheet, pretty badly, when grabbing her collar to keep her from lunging out of the car. It bled a lot, like a knife cut. Then, after about 2 months, the flimsy metal piece must have bent too much. The buckle fell apart, causing the collar to fall off of my dog and allowing her to run away before I noticed.Wouldn't recommend for anyone who has a larger dog that may pull or be tied, ever, at all. Probably fine for just walking and general wearing, with that in mind.

I don't know why everyone in the reviews has been saying the collar stinks. IT SMELLS LIKE GENUINE LEATHER! That's what it's suppose to smell like. Doesn't anyone know what leather smells like? That's what they paid for! genuine leather! I personally like the smell/scent because I know it's real.My Labrador looks like such a big boy now with it on. It is a little too long for him at this time but either he will grow into it more or I will just tailor it to his neck size.Also, when I got the package, it was a tad bit damaged and the collar was slightly bent out of shape. However, I can bend it back into place and it looks great. I think the packaging should be improved on the merchant's end....how 'bout a box in lieu of the unstable bubble wrap bag?Overall: happy with the product! ;)

Everything is beautiful even more so in person! The only issue I have is the size. Normally I purchase a medium for my baby girl, this medium size is a bit more larger and I’m on the last hole and it barely fits. I now have a lot of extra slack on the collar so I had to Velcro the end. It also took almost a month to deliver. But other than that it’s beautiful! I absolutely love how it looks, the bonus thing I love about this collar is that there is no more loud clinging noises from the tag.

I can't say enough great things about this collar, it is by far my favorite one I have bought for my dog- I have purchased about 9 or 10 in the past 2 years. The quality is outstanding and the tag engraving is great- we were looking for something that would be silent while she walks around the house or scratches but would still have her information if god forbid she ever got lost. This fits the bill perfectly. My girl is a mastiff-pit mix her neck is 19 inches and the Medium fits her perfectly!

The seller is amazing and the product is even better!!The first one got lost in the mail and since the seller didn’t receive any updates about delivery, they contacted me to ask if I got it, which I didn’t. They proceeded to ask if I wanted a refund or if I wanted another one to be sent. I asked for another one since the price is good and I was looking forward to ger my pup to wear it! Well, it just arrived and the colar is gorgeous!! It looks so pretty in my fur babe! It looks super fancy and upscale. I love it.

Thick and nicely finished leather with nice stitching, quality brass hardware and nice rivets. I bought two of these collars for my dogs and will say that these are two of the nicest collars that I have ever bought. My son's girlfriend bought them Coach brand collars several years ago for three times the prices of these collars and these are every bit as good - perhaps nicer and they have the personalized brass name plates. If you are looking for a really nice and durable leather collar at a reasonable price, I recommend these collars.

Looks fantastic. A quick tip: when it arrives, it's freshly dyed thick rich leather. Hang it up for a week or two and let those fumes get out before putting it on your dog. Then, when you do put it on your dog, leave it on for about a week to let the leather work in and shape properly. If you have a little extra leather left over because you're using a smaller hole, then use something like a small ziptie to hold it to the collar so it shapes in properly too. It's leather guys, it takes time to work in, even something as simple as a collar. And no, this is not a training collar. If you have a big dog who isn't trained and pulls hard, then tie the leash around your dog's neck until they're trained or find another collar.
