Animal Stretcher *

we had to buy this to prepare for a very sad occasion, we have large dogs and we knew when their time came, we would have to get them out of the house and to the vet if they couldnt walk. The dog stretcher is sturdy and has straps on it to secure the dog so we could lift him into the car. we put a quilt on it so it would be as comfortable as possible for the dog. the stretcher made a difficult situation a little easier.

Stretcher is of good quality, assembled easily, and is overall what I wanted. However, the product information on Amazon states that it "holds up to 200 pounds"; but the large label on this item clearly states that the weight limit is 80 kg, which is 176 pounds. That may not be enough for some to worry about, but if you're using this for BIG dogs, as we are, I was very disappointed to find that there is a full 25 pound discrepancy between what the description and actual product states is the maximum weight limit. When you're carrying a sick dog, that's not the time to find out which is the real weight limit of the product. Disappointed in that aspect, I believe the REAL weight limit should be clearly stated, especially for safety reasons. Otherwise, it seems of good construction and I do like the three wide seat-belt clicking belts to keep the animal secure.

Unfortunately I needed this for my dog just a few days after purchase. It worked perfectly and certainly saved my dog some pain.

I really like the quality of the product.There is a slight design problem with the front lifting handle. The handle is positioned above the Velcro seam that hold the front part of the stretcher together. Because of this if you use the handle the velcro releases and the front part is no longer secured. I now only use the metal frame to pull it when a pet is on it.Other than that I highly recommend it.

This was exactly what we needed. The quality is well worth the price paid and our vet practice has two of the exact same stretcher. Unfortunately, we only needed to use it for our golden retriever for one week. She passed away because of cancer. I do want to thank you for the very quick delivery. I believe we had it delivered in less than 36 hours which was a huge blessing at the time. I would definitely buy from this seller again.

The stretcher works will if two people are carrying; but not the wheels (too small) or the handle which puts stress on the Velcro attachment under the frame and releases from the frame.I purchased this because it advertised that one person can move a large dog. My 100 lb. senior dog is next to impossible to lift for me (a senior with back issues) and this does NOT help. Lifting the frame while keeping my spine straight would put the dog at a dangerous angle and keeping it lower to the ground puts major strain on my back because I’m bent over and tugging the stretcher.It’s designed for some one under under forty perhaps with no back issues. Would not recommend for the previous stated reasons.

this has obviously been returned before....parts missing....no instructions...and rusty pipe ends

As a veterinarian, I cannot day enough about how great this stretcher is. I’ve purchased 2 so far and would absolutely buy another if I need in the future. Easy to assemble. Easy to use, best with two people but with wheels on one end it’s doable with just one person. Easy to clean. Highly recommended.
