I bought this at the same time I ordered a brand new memory foam mattress. I researched for hours, and decided to get this one based on customer reviews after comparing many protectors and brands. I am so glad I did! It fits perfectly, it doesn't feel like plastic, no noise, doesn't slide around. It feels like a regular cloth mattress cover. I was actually very worried about it being waterproof, because it didn't look or feel like any waterproof mattress cover I had ever seen or used.I have a new male rescue dog who has only been here for 2-3 months. He's a little chihuahua mix, which you know little dogs are never completely housebroken. I also have 6 cats, and they sometimes cough up a furball/vomit on the bed. YUCK! I need something that will completely protect my mattress!!!I dog-sit for my aunt periodically. She has 3 little chihuahua mixes also, 2 males. My newest edition and hers were just recently neutered, so there is still some male dominance/testosterone lingering. The day after she picks her dogs up, the new little guy pees all over the house, INCLUDING ON MY BED. Right where I sleep. The first time he only did the bed, this time he did the bed AND the pillows.This mattress protector didn't allow even one drop through!!! No pee stains, no urine on my brand new mattress! I wash it on the delicate cycle with only laundry soap, which freaks me out because I usually add bleach when washing whites. I keep forgetting to buy bleach alternative for use when washing this. I dry it on the low heat setting. It came out perfectly clean the first time, no stains!It is in the washer right now. I'll post this after it is finished so I can add the results of the second wash using only laundry soap. Once again, no urine stains! I am still going to run out right now and get some bleach alternative, because I know that over time it is going to lose the 'whiteness' without it.This was one of the best purchases I have made! I can't say enough about this mattress protector!

We have had other brands, they are all garbage, their protective under-layers shred over time (and not a whole lot of time at that, definitely nowhere near the many years their warranties would imply that they should last for). This one is the only one that’s any good. How these other brands get good thousands of good reviews is beyond me. This one costs a bit more, but it’s literally the difference in a product that works and products that simply don’t actually protect your mattress. It’s a no-brainer: buy this one. We’ve bought 2 for our bed (I sweat when I sleep and it stains the protector over time; it still works fine at that point, but my wife wanted it changed to a new one) and 2 for our daughter’s mattresses (her bed and guest trundle bed that goes underneath).I have read the reviews by other buyers who say it didn’t work for them and I am befuddled. I just poured water onto the part of this thing with the worst wear, the aforementioned part on which I have slept and sweated for the last 15 months, and none of the water got through. Now, it’s possible we need to wash it, even that it’s never been washed (I know, I know; don’t judge) and if so then maybe if washed, even properly, this one will fail. But even if that’s the case, I still don’t understand the comments that it leaked through when new and unwashed, I just can’t at all see how that’s happening. All I know is the other brands have torn up just from use alone and this one works great for me.

When this first arrived, my initial reaction was 'what a piece of junk'! When I was ordering, I specifically wanted a waterproof mattress 'pad'. My brain was stuck on 'pad', as in something with a little puffiness to it as well as waterproof and apparently I overlooked the fact that the description said 'protector', not 'pad'. It is exactly what was described, a protector. It is very thin, so if you are look for a cushy mattress pad, this is not for you, but if you are looking for a great mattress 'protector' this fits the bill. As I was debating whether to return this or not, I decided to give it a waterproof test. I made a little pocket with the protector, poured in some water and there was NO leakage! I am keeping it. It is a spare for the one I already have that has a slightly softer feel, so next time one of the 3 dogs has a problem at night, I don't have to wash the protector right away, I can put the clean spare on and wash the soiled one later. My mattress in soft enough, it doesn't need the extra puffy pad anyway, just a waterproof protector.

I bought this for a Tempur-pedic Cloud Select mattress. For as much as the mattress cost, I figure it would be worthwhile to shell out some money to protect it. I read several poor reviews of the Tempur-pedic brand mattress protector and searched many places to find an alternative.This Perlux protector is great. It is lightweight and thin--allowing the memory foam to speak for itself. It fits nicely around the mattress, with room to spare. I washed it before the first use and put it in the dryer on low heat--no issues.Since it is a waterproof protector, it does have a slight plastic sound to it, but I don't really notice it. As well, it seems to do a good job of keeping me cool against the mattress.If I could deduct half a star, I would do that instead of deducting a whole star. The reason why I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the slight noise it produces. I think that's pretty standard in this category, though, and it honestly isn't awful. I would imagine that many are much worse.If you have a memory foam mattress, it really deserves some protection! And, for me, this Perlux protector does just the trick!

Did lots of research before settling on this purchase, about mattress covers. I was specifically looking for an optimal dust-mite solution, and not necessarily a waterproof solution, for a reasonable price. Only had this cover on the bed for a week so far, but so far everything is really great. The product was shipped super quickly. The package is much smaller than expected, but I was prepared for that as I read most protectors are thin and not as some expect like mattress pad covers. I washed the product and dried it as per the insert instructions, and was happy too that it was not full of chemical smells to begin with.The queen cover fits perfectly on our queen bed that has a thick mattress, and it could even accommodate thicker mattresses, so that flexibility is nice. The protector feels really nice to the touch from the top, makes no noise, doesn't feel hot or add extra heat while sleeping and basically we don't even know it is there. So from that perspective it gets an excellent, 5-star rating. This is our first mattress protector purchase and now we wish we had it all along on the mattress to begin with. I cannot comment on its waterproof ability and can only hope it does what it claims when it comes to dust mites. Finally, I settled on the Tencel and this specific Perlux product, as after so much research realized that this offered the most natural and high quality and best priced option for our needs.

Very happy with this mattress protector, can't tell it's got a coated waterproof layer, fits a deep mattress no problem, shipping was super fast, and it's better quality and more comfortable than the $150 cover on my other bed. Can barely tell there's a cover too, while my more expensive one makes my other bed less comfy, but will be ordering a king for that one too.

This is a great product. I got a great first impression of it once I received it. It seems like it's made with quality, and since installment, it has protected out mattress perfectly (That includes children who have been sick or just had accidents while on our bed)It fits like it's supposed to, and as advertised, I can't notice it on the mattress (However, I have to guess that some mattresses (ie. more firm) may have a more noticeable difference with this on them). I can't speak for the claim that it will keep your body more cool because I have not noticed a difference with that.Overall, I'm very happy with this buy and would buy it again if I had to for any reason.

This mattress cover replaced a $300 cover that we bought from The Brick. The $300 Brick cover was advertised to be cooling material. Not only was it not cooling, it was slippery and loud and uncomfortable. This mattress cover has been easy to wash, extremely comfortable and does it's job well for the price point. We have bought 2, would buy again without hesitation.

Pensaba que al añadirle ésta protección iba a perder la comodidad del Memory Foam, sin embargo no cambió practicamente en nada.Para darse una idea, se siente como una sábana delgada de poliester comun y corriente, pero obviamente con las propiedades protectoras. He visto reviews de que se quejan de que en lugares calurosos llega a ser incómodo por no poder transpirar mucho el calor, si con una sábana delgada de poliester sientes mucho calor, es probable que se sienta igual, por lo que quizá en esos casos te convenga seguir buscando.
