Yes, I bought it after watching The Queen's Gambit
Okay, so I've jumped on the chess craze just like everyone else watching The Queens Gambit and started playing chess. Or trying to play. Turns out I'm quite bad at it. But I still enjoy it and think this chess set is really nice in a number of ways.It has the letters & numbers running along the ranks and files just like a tournament board. And it's a nice big size--it JUST fits on the little bistro table I have out on my balcony. I also like to spread it out on the floor and play. The mat is nice and thick and the corners don't roll up, surprisingly. It comes in a quality burgundy carrying case that's a couple of feet long. The case closes with a zipper and the zipper is really good quality as well. When I'm not using the board, I store it along with the pieces in the case and keep it next to my yoga mat and foam roller. It's been a great activity during the stay-at-home order. I also play Chess digitally on chess.com, but there is something much different about playing on a physical board. It's nice because you get your eyes off the screen for a while and it makes you think differently about the game.Anyway, I think it's a great board. It'd be nice if it was a few dollars cheaper, but the price is not bad for what you get. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy-to-store Chess board.

Great for traveling chess players
My 11 year old loves chess and his club uses these. I am keeping this one in my car so he can pick up a game with friends. The chess pieces have a felt bottom, they are made well (plastic). The vinyl board rolls up easily and lies flat, it is not thick but sturdy. The carrying case is nice, has a strap so you can wear it cross body. Overall, nice, does what it is suppose to. Seems to be the standard.

Great portable set; minor cosmetic issues.
The mat seems to be of good quality and durable material, with a woven backing, but the paint is a bit fuzzy (and I'm not sure how well it will wear) and it does not lay very flat: Mine almost seemed used when I got it because of bumps that won't go away, slightly visible from shadows in my pictures, in virginity of and most prominent in the g6 square; those bumps, the 6-7 rank border generally, and edges of the mat tend to stay above the table surface, the most pronounced edges by over a quarter inch. I hope this diminishes with time, but so far (after having it out and using it a few days) it hasn't.The case holds its shape empty with a cardboard tube, and I knew it going in, but if I'm listing cosmetic issues: The font on the case is terrible. The pieces are weighted enough that they don't knock over easily; they are not heavy enough to flatten the bumps around g6, but they are heavy enough to hold down the other parts of the mat that don't want to lay flat. They seem to meet the weight standard of feeling natural, and not being too heavy makes them that much more portable.A couple pieces had minor defects as well, most significantly a quarter of the top of one rook is breaking off. Overall, though, I didn't find the cosmetic issues enough to bother reaching out to the supplier for correction; I'll try supergluing the breaking piece, but otherwise won't really address these issues. I didn't intend for this to be my nicest set anyway, just more portable.

Big pieces, very durable, and nice storage pouch.
I'm very satisfied with this chess board. Very durable and big pieces. I like the carry pouch so I can store it in my luggage or carry it with me when I'm out of town and I can set up at park and play whoever would like to play. It's worth the little extra you will pay, because it comes with the carry pouch.

Just "okay" but "good enough"
The tube fabric is quite flimsy, which is probably why it's cardboard reinforced like gangbusters. The board itself is fine, though not as good as the US Chess version. The pieces are double weight feel, not triple, in my experience. I've played this set side by side with the US Chess version, and these feel lighter and less substantive, but they work in a pinch. Good size, mat is decent quality. All in all, "okay." Definitely good enough to throw around for casual games.

Great Chess Set
Wonderful chess set with nice size pieces, weighted and felted, in the classic Staunton design. The board unrolls beautifully and is marked on the sides for chess notation. The carrying tube comes with a strap making this a perfect choice in design and portability. Five Stars all the Way!! *****
