Quality product from Col. Conk ( the MASTER of quality shaving stuff :)
This stuff is AMAZING. It is a boozy concotion of old-school Amber that has a smell unlike anything else on the market today. I swear by Colonel Conk products and I already use his amazing Amber shaving soap ( which smells NOTHING like this Amber aftershave, but both are equally good ) and that shaving soap gives my face a great shave while I'm sure this stuff will make me smell great all day. I used a little bit of it today and I was in proximity to a Lady and she said " WOW, that stuff smells SOOOOO good! " It made me feel really good that the effort I take in my grooming is rewarded by attention from the Ladies! The bottle is made of glass so I have to make sure that I put it in a spot where it won't fall off a counter or something. I think you have to use a fair amount of this stuff at the right pulse points cos the smell goes away fairly quickly, even though it smells amazing. Perhaps dabbing it on your clothes may help.

Pricey, smells great
I bought a Colonel Conk Shave Soap sampler pack a while back, my introduction to the brand. So while trying different aftershaves, I ran across this one, and decided to try it.As far as the scent goes, I think it's my favorite of the ones I've tried (I also purchased Pinaud Clubman Aftershave, Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum, and Captain's Choice Bay Rum Aftershave). My wife also prefers this scent to the others. As another reviewer has mentioned, it doesn't really smell much like the Amber soap at all, but this is forgivable since it smells great in its own right. The bottle is clearly the nicest of the lot as well. However, be aware that there is nothing on the end to regulate the amount of fluid coming out; after being accustomed to the bottles with the plastic stopper with the little hole in the middle, when I first opened the bottle I wasn't paying attention and got a whole lot more than I needed in my hand. The ingredients are relatively simple: Alcohol, propylene glycol, fragrance, coloring. The Captain's Choice may take the prize for the best and most natural ingredients (Alcohol, Witch Hazel, Glycerin, Spices & Extracts), but the Colonel Conk takes second here. The other two have a host of weird things I've never heard of in there. Not that I'm one of those people that gets all bent out of shape as soon as I see a hard-to-pronounce scientific looking name on a label, but I admit that the simplicity is welcome. Finally, the price. Price per ounce follows the simplicity of the ingredients, with Captain's Choice being the most expensive and the Colonel Conk right behind it. It's too bad it costs so much -- it's the only reason that I'm currently undecided on the matter of whether or not I will purchase it again. Well okay, I probably will.

No Scent
I ignored the reviews about no scent to this aftershave but they were right. You might get the desired effect if you filled a bathtub with it and bathed. It has a really nice scent that only lasts as long as its wet. I would definitely like it if it had a stronger, longer lasting scent. Its overpriced as well. Proraso, Wood and Spice, balm, is about the same price , but its superior and has a better, lasting aroma.Col. Conks Amber comes in a nice box and it's in a glass bottle with a good looking label that came off on it's own, quickly.I cant say how it works as an aftershave because I didnt use it long enough. I have a bottle of Lucky Tiger, that has no scent, that I never use as well.If you are in to how an aftershave smells, as I am, try something else.

Weak, no scent
I stumbled on the scent at Lehmans Hardware in Ohio -- the soap they had was beautiful, I chose not to buy since I didn't find the other items I was looking for and didn't want to wait in line for 1 'add on' item.I love classic barber fragrances --- Pinaud Clubman and Bay Rum especially. Thse need to be 'cut' as they are both are overpowering, and, stay that way for a long time. These, are too much. The Amber, in the bottle it smells great. But takes does not have any 'staying power' and the scent is weak, and seems to disipate quickly. The bottle is a beautiful etched glass, which I was very glad to see - I hate plastic bottles. Other fragrances may differ, but amber was very disapoiting especailly for the price, however for as pretty as the bottle is, it also lacks a stopper so you get a glug (which it turns out you need) instead of a metered dose.

Simple and good
Simple and good. I like the way this looks, I like how it feels, and I like how it smells. The bottle is nice and made of glass, has that old-time feel to it. If that's your thing then you're going to like having it on your sink. It has a nice sting, unlike other non-alcoholic after-shaves. The smell is nice, but it fades away real fast. Some people see that as a negative, but it works for me. I have cologne for when I want to smell nice. But I don't want to smell like I'm hitting the clubs every day at work.Shipping was fast, product came in just fine. No complaints.

Love The Scent
Just purchased my second bottle. Have not found another after shave with a cleaner scent. The scent does seem to die fast, but I am OK with that. I like the way it feels when I apply it. As to the difficulty of regulating the amount that flows from the bottle, I solved this by taking an awl and punching a hole in the plastic shipping cap. Now I can shake as little or as much as I want. Great product, as is their shaving soap and pre shave oil.

Impressed
This was a surprising scent. Bought the puck so why not the aftershave. Nice glass bottle. Not overpowering but manly. Impressed
