This product failed on two counts - firstly,. it doesn't work, which is bad enough but much worse is the damage it's done to paving and sandstone, which are both now badly stained.

I got this Rapid Thaw stuff to prevent and remove ice/frost on our garden paths over winter. We have dogs and traditional salt can be harmful for them.Unfortunately, with this Rapid Thaw stuff, it just didn't work very well unless you use absolutely tonnes of it. Really disappointing and poor value for money. I won't be buying it again.

I had bought a similar brand a few days earlier and it was completely ineffective. I was a bit hesitant about buying this one as it looked similar, but protecting my dogs' paws was playing on my mind, so I went with this and was amazed at the results. We had a good few black ice mornings and snow and having put down only one application, it was effective through all the days afterwards. Was really surprised and delighted.

The fact that is environmentally friendly. We have 18 steps down to our house, so used the product for the first time with the snow this week. Worked immediately, therefore making them safe for deliveries etc.

It does what it says on the tub, but very over-priced. Didn't last long.

I guess the reason that this does not destroy walkways is because it does not work well. Very poor performance and very expensive

Appear effective and longer lasting than normal salt alternatives.
