Work well, look great, and you get a good value with two
I have three small air conditioners that we decided to keep in the window during the winter due to lack of storage space. Two of the air conditioners are 5,000 BTU AC's and fairly average size for a bedroom AC (one is 14x19 and the other is 12x19 inches). This fit perfectly on them, and right away I noticed a difference with them on. There is a foam-type sheet that you put on the AC first, then the beige cover goes over that. If you just put this cover on, you will get some insulation but on windy days I noticed that my curtains would move when I just put this cover on by itself (it was still warm on some days so I didn't want to put the foam on yet). When I went ahead and put the foam/plasticy sheet on the AC (they even give you tape to use!), right away the room was warmer. With that sheet on and this cover, the curtains do not move at all anymore. I also bought a single one to use on another AC, but that AC is much smaller than average and this was pretty big on it. I made it work by putting the sheet over the AC plus the sides of the window, then putting this cover over that, but it was still a loose fit. So if you have a really small AC (it is 11x16 inches) it will be a bit big. When I read the dimensions of this item, I was worried it wouldn't fit well because it's listed as 2" deep, and when I measure the AC it was 4" deep, but it did fit completely over the AC, all the way to the window. I would suggest getting the foam side panels to use as well; I used those in my bedroom and it cut down the air coming in around the AC as well as the outside noise. Great product!

They do what they promise to do
When used with the foam liners--very important!--these covers greatly reduce the drafts that come in through the window a.c. units permanently installed in windows, and they look neat and inconspicuous. (Note that covering the a.c. units ONLY cuts out the drafts that come through the units, and not the drafts that are let in by the windows left partly open because of the space the unit takes--you have to stuff that space with insulating foam to keep the room comfortable!)

Worked good after alterations
Didn't fit as well as I thought it should. But other wise ok. Worked good after alterations.
