ManfrottoLL LB8990 1.4x1m HiLite Background

I actually like the Lastolite hilite system for location fashion shoots. You can put a LED light or flash inside the box for a clean white background and it's easily transportable. A disadvantage is that it is a dirt magnet and not easy to clean.

Great for hear and shoulder portraiture. Also useful as an artificial window light and as a fill light. Easy to setup but could do with some way to 'clip' a speed light into it at either the top and bottom or on each side, internally. The delusion does leave hot-spots if you are not careful about the positioning of the lights. I use mine with two speed lights, one poked through the zip at the top and the other standing on it's supplied 'foot' at the bottom, pointed slightly towards the back. This seems to give about 2/3rd of a stop difference between the brightest and darkest areas across the entire delusion area.

I have the larger version of this (6ftx7ft) but it proved to be too big when doing photo shoots at most clients houses. This smaller backround is very easy to carry and set up. I use a nikon SB910B to light the background from the inside. I set this io half power and it light the background perfectly. I reckon it could be lit even using 1/4 power which would keep recycle times really quick. It is a bit trickly to fold down but once you get the hang of it it is really good.
