Perfect solution for my window
Easy to install. Great solution for a side opening window. Just one word of caution: I used the rod to extend to 32 inches. There is a little bit of sag on the far end of this extension. So I wouldn't use this rod for a longer extension, but I suppose you could put a supporting hook on the far end to support the extended weight.

Perfect, works exactly as it should.
I have a heavier curtain on it so I put little clear plastic holders on the wall to hold it in place when shut.

Hardware is inferior, customer support doesn't answer phone or email
This traverse rod is solid, the installation requires that you slide the rods through the brackets so if you have an inset installation you have to put the rod pieces through the brackets before you mount them making it a bit more tricky. Also because it is telescoping there is a ridge inside that catches each and every roller when I open the curtains. The screws that come in the package are inferior and stripped out while trying to install them using a pilot whole.

Very shiny, yes, but looks great!
The rod itself is more chrome than brushed metal, but that's ok. The grommets on my curtains are the same silver, so it's all good. The brackets are in fact plastic, however, the inner support is metal, which i think is holding up just fine, especially when you use the middle support arm. I installed this myself using a magnetic level and a pencil to mark the holes and a drill to secure the screws. one thing to note - i ended up using my own (wood) screws after i almost stripped out the ones that were included. I would recommend starting out with your own screws to avoid more frustration than necessary! so glad to finally have a rod that allows the blackout curtains to do their job (block light)!

Not as nice as one I’ve had before
This traverse curtain rod is the second one I’ve bought. I needed a sliver finish instead of broken this time. This one seems to be lighter material and the slot on the bottom doesn’t aline like it should. The two main rods are fine but there is a smaller one that fits inside the two main curtain rods. It makes it so the slides get stuck when they move from the one inside to the main curtain rod. It is not a smooth slide like the last one I’ve bought. It will work but it isn’t as nice having to fight to slide the curtains.

What a waste of money! Walmart sells better quality and way less expensive.
I bought two of these and finally installed them last night. What should’ve been an easy 30 minute installation turned into at least a two hour installation. These are made out of cheap plastic, don’t be fooled like I was into thinking these are metal. I received one with the broken end cap but plastic is easy to glue, so I glued it. The hardware included didn’t work. The screws are supposed to fit through the bottom keyhole and then the brackets, sits on the screws....supposed to. The screw head was too large and wouldn’t fit in the hole. So off I go to the hardware store. Couldn’t find any that would work so I come back home and screw the screws through the holes, which was so inconvenient! So now to slip the rod through the brackets....in order to do this, the end cap has to be removed from one end.....well....the damn rod wouldn’t fit through!!! I had to struggle to get it through the three brackets. What a PITA! Ok, so have that done, now to put the end cap on. OMG! These stupid things are not meant to be put back on!!! It was such a struggle. I finally gave up and just sat the end cap on as best as I could hoping that at some point it won’t fall off. What I really should’ve done was return both of these and go to Walmart for a pair. In fact, I have bought a rod from Walmart for another window that is much better quality and looks better than these for only 9.99. Quite a savings! These are so inferior, I though surely they’re Made In China. No, they’re made in Vietnam. Save yourself some money and a huge headache....don’t buy these...go to Walmart instead.

Looks nice, feels cheap.
Now that it is up, I'm happy with it. While installing, I thought it was going to have to go back. Required some manipulation to stop the sliders from sticking where the rod sections overlap, but was able to make it work by using pliers to widen the gap a bit.

Installation
When you install the hinge on the wall, you might need to compensate for the weight of the rod. ie. you may need to put it at a slight angle so the rod hangs straight. We needed the rod to be 34 inches.Great product for what we needed.

Privacy
I wish I thought of this sooner I like sleeping with the door open but don't have any privacy, this is given me full privacy I just swing it across the Open Door and I still have air flowing to the bedroom at night.
