More than just being John's long time best friend Pete was a member of the Beatles inner circle, as such he had the opportunity to observe all manner of events. Pete's story of being unknowingly appointed "Director" of the Apple Corp is hilarious. This book easily makes the short list of the best books ever written about the Beatles. But be warned, if you're easily offended by profanity and tales of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll it may not be for you.

I am a long time Beatle fan, I have read tons of books on the group and each individual Beatle. This book is one of my favorites as it gives a unique perspective on John Lennon as only a close friend can give. Pete was with John from the age if 6, he was one of the Quarrymen, and was with him during and after he rise to fame.A must read!!

I very highly recommend this book to any Lennon/Beatles fan with a good sense of humour and an open mind. I Loved Every Page Of It. You wont be able to keep a straight face while you read it. What A Clown!

a must have for all beatles and john lennon fans. there is loads of informaion that i have never known about. i would have bought this book years ago if i knew about it.

As another perspective on this enigmatic, iconic musician I found this a fascinating read. I didn't realize how close they were (especially before Yoko arrived on the scene) ; in fact, I'm surprised (not skeptical) I hadn't read more about their relationship before.

The best biography of John Lennon.

There is a page in this product that was ripped out in a rather ugly way. While the rest of the book (so far) seems to be in ok shape, I am frustrated that I paid the amount I did for something of this nature.
