Excellent quality, bright and natural colour temperature
I bought this to replace the halogen spot inside our optic fibre Christmas tree. Far safer now with cool running, equal if not brighter output, significantly lower power consumption and should last significantly longer! Good thing it runs from AC or DC, so no worries with our tree.

No transformer in the lights
Ok so we’re attempting to change from halogen to these LEDs but have discovered that there’s no inbuilt transformers. As we didn’t install the original lighting system in the house, locating the transformer box is a challenge. We have found that without the transformer the lights flicker intermittently but produce a lovely colour. So at present I cannot give a proper review.

Not a straight replacement for halogen lights
Did not work as straight replacement of existing 12V 50W downlights as I hoped. The light flickers, and the bulbs seem to emit a buzzing sound. Returned them right away (very straight-forward and easy as a process), waiting for the refund.Confusing information: the title says "not dimmable", the product details "dimmable".

Bulb caused failure of unit.
Well, just fitted the bulb and it immediately blew the light unit. Though I would replace the halogen bulb for long term savings and no need a new light unit!!Argh...
