Great whole house humidifier ...
Install was easy enough. Took my time and it was up and running in about three hours. Have had it about a month now. It works great. Doesn't "waste" as much water as I thought it would. I run the discharge into a Beckett condensate pump shared by A/C unit. It runs maybe once per heat cycle when humidifier is on. It is more than adequate for our 2600 sq ft house. Do have to keep setting significantly lower than scale on the humidistat indicates even though its located in the supply air stream to the HVAC unit, may be location of humidistat or just calibration. I have it set to about 22 and it is around 40% in the house. Do be aware of where your A/C evaporator is before cutting holes. (Mine is close but no touchy :) )I have a scale filter in the water line, some scale deposit blows on to the inside of the cover. Dont know if that would be different with the paper pad vs the OEM one.The replacement filter is paper the original is not.Sold the little room units we had and don't miss em a bit. House plants are the only thing happier then me during these dry Montana winters.

Easy install and detailed instructions
After looking at a number of humidifiers I settled on this one due to the installation kit being included. This made it very easy to know that I had everything I needed. Installation did not take 1 hour like the video claimed but it only turned out to be about 3 hours minus the time I spent searching my garage for tools.Pros: Easy installation due to the provided instructions and video on Youtube provided by Honeywell.Price was great. I saw this same model at Menards for $200 though I paid about $165 on Amazon.I decided to use the provided sail switch instead of wiring directly to my furnace. It seems to work just like expected and turns the humidifier on once the blower starts.Cons: The 4 ft ducting for the bypass is more like 3.5 ft. I opted to purchase different bypass ducting that was a bit more sturdy. $10 extra at Menards. There was a gasket that the instructions and video didn't mention. I assume this was for the water tap line so that is where I placed it.There is a lot of water that is wasted since the pump continuously provides water while the blower is on. It would be nice if there was some way for it to conserve water a bit better and only provide it when the filter begins to dry.Overall, I am very pleased with how easy this was to install. I don't have any experience installing humidifiers though I consider myself mechanically inclined. If you can follow instructions and use basic tools, you should be able to do this.As a note, if you decide to install this in the supply side rather than the return, be very careful not to hit your air conditioning coil with your drill. I managed to avoid mine, but a few inches lower and I would have drilled right into it. Research your furnace model or take a peak in your supply ducts before drilling.

Excellent price & product
Installing it was not easy. The instructions are lacking to say the least, and I’m considered to be a handyman.MAKE SURE YOU USE GLOVES, THE METAL DUCT WILL CUT YOU WHEN YOU ARE TRIMMING IT!If you are not good at this sort of thing, I would suggest getting someone that is to help you!But once it is installed, it works great!

Everything you need to install.
This is one of the most complete kits for anything that I've ever seen. Everything you need to install this humidifier is in the box. I did however choose to use a shut-off valve with copper fittings soldered in place rather than trust the saddle valve. I've never used one before but I've heard they can sometimes leak so if you do use it make sure it's in a spot that's conspicuous and easy to inspect. Also rather than use the thin paper template I used a piece of cardboard packing that was cut to fit the humidifier for shipping purposes. It was a perfect fit and a much heavier duty template, just remember to cut outside of the line so that the hole is not too tight for the humidifier. Also remember that the 6-in expandable flex hose is only 4 ft long so plan accordingly.

Easy to install
This is the second of these I have installed in this house. The first one, oddly enough, sprung a leak from the solenoid after several years, and it was cheaper to replace it than to have the HVAC company repair it. I had some trouble getting this one to work (Hint: Take pics of the old one to help with the install....), but switched the air pressure hose to the other port on the solenoid and it works just fine!

Missing parts and then sent me a refurbished one
First one they sent was missing parts. Annoying, but I get it. It happens. Tried contacting Honeywell to get just the missing parts replaced and was denied because I was told I'm not a contractor. (Which is true). So I opted for the replacement. Boxed it up and shipped it back. Then they sent me a refurbished one in its place. Parts damaged and broken, box had been opened and re-taped. You could see where someone used a screwdriver to pry open the main device. So I tried doing another exchange but it was denied due to a policy of only one exchange. So now I have to wait for it to get to them to get my money back so I can try again somewhere else.I have no doubt the product is a good product, since I use to work for Honeywell years ago in their hvac division. It just requires all the parts, and I want what I paid for which was a new one.The reason for the low score is not because of the product itself, but because of the service I received in getting it.Side Note: once I finally get my money I'll be going to Home Depot and paying the difference in price to not have to deal with this distributor.

Reduced moisturizer bill
I’m not exactly sure how warm and thickness apply to a humidifier but the product is wonderful so I gave it five stars across-the-board. My husband is fairly handy but said that it was easy to install. Instant impact. I used to wake up every morning and have a dry cracked nose and that is almost completely gone. My daughter suffers from eczema and our moisturizer bill has been cut in half thanks to the extra moisture in the air.
