Q: Will this feeder hold whole peanuts?

No! Well, it will hold them, but they will stay there until you empty them out because they will *not* fit through the holes in the mesh. Assuming you want creatures to be able to get the peanuts out, no, this feeder is not what you want.

Q: Does the base come off for cleaning?

Ican’t imagine that you would need to do anything but wash in warm soapy water. I have never tried . I love this bird feeder though and it is very easy to fill. The birds love it as they can get seeds all the way up . Some fly in and grab and others perch.

Q: Can i put hulled sunflower seeds in this feeder?

Yes but this is a really tiny feeder so not easy to refill and needs to be refilled a LOT!
