Advantec43303010 Polypropylene Filter Holder for 25-mm membranes

For good and bad, these have a lot of parts- they all come apart. Easy to clean, but easy to lose pieces. There is a notched part and if that notch isn't in there correctly it won't work. I did bust a few filters using these. Not sure if it was too much pressure or incorrectly putting the holder together. I used these with Whatman GF/F filters and they fit fine. There is a grooved plastic plate that sits on top of the filter and is nestled against it. If all you care about is the filtered water, great, works good. But if you want the filter (chlorophyll analysis, particulate analyses, etc.) then do not use these!!! The filter, and therefore some of your sample, sticks to the grooved plastic plate that sits on top of it. I tried it without that plate and the filter tore. They are cheaper than swinnex holders, but more finicky and not good if you need the filters.
