Zeiss Distagon T 25mm f/2.0 ZE Lens for Canon EF Mount

Though the 25mm seems like it's the unwanted little brother of the nearby 28mm and 18mm lenses, I would highly recommend it. This lens has the same solid feel and quality glass you expect from Zeiss. I actually find it to be the perfect compromise. It's just wide enough for most applications. In fact, if you want anything wider you'd probably be looking at a 10-15 mm lens anyway. And if you want the 28mm look...just move your camera closer to your subject. I know how ridiculous that sounds, but I'm happy with my decision to pony up the cash for the 25 and pass on the 28 and 18. I use my 25 on just about every shoot anymore. Partnered with a 35, 50, and 85, it rounds out a solid lens kit.

You can never go wrong with a Zeiss. Design and construction is amazing. Love the weight and feel, but most of all the quality of glass.

Simply blown away by the cine-like imagery on my Canon m50. Turns it into a crisp 40mm-ish image. On my 5D4 or my Eos R the 4k is nothing less than spectacular. I have the the Canon 24mm 1.4 ii but this Zeiss 25mm ZE is the frontrunner due to its cinematic rendering. Some of the greats filmed entire movies in 28mm and 25mm and after using this lens, I agree it's very doable. The rendering, wow, the rendering. Also, for stills, this is a secret weapon. Awesome for editorial, tall, leggy models, and even landscape & astro. Just buy it. You'll never let this Zeiss 25mm Ze go. Highly satisfied with this new lens. Flawless....

La qualite de fabrication est superbe! c est du lourd!qualite optique irreprochable!je l utilise en video sur canon 5D MK III et la douceur de la bague de mise au point est juste ce qu il faut!S il etait motorise ca ferait un carton chez les Canonistes!
