DEWALTDCP580N 18v XR Cordless Brushless Planer Bare + TSTAK Case + Dust Bag

This is a very good planner, has a strong motor to make planing doorrs easy. It’s not to heavy. The side guide is handy to keep you from wandering off the timber. The bag has a good capacity and can be angled for awkward jobs, it’s easy to empty. The carrying box is sturdy and with the foam infill for going over the Planer and accessories, keeping them in place and stopping them from sliding around inside. I am a qualified Joiner / carpenter and would recommend this product.

Dewalt aftershaves are the absolute bollocks. The 3 year extra warranty is a joke. I tried to register numerous products (8 I think it was). But it wouldn't accept any codes or other info required to do this. After being on the phone for ages trying to speak to someone I was told that the cutoff date had passed so 4 items didn't qualify for warranty. After arguing the toss dewalt gave in. I passed all product codes to them and they couldn't register any of them. I've bought 12 different tools from dewalt over the past couple of months. I won't be buying anymore. A reputable company ! I DON'T THINK SO. There's plenty more decent manufacturers out there. Have a look at them before considering dewalt. Dewalts tools are brilliant. It's the aftershaves and customer support that are beyond shite.
