April, Courtney and Monica beenden gerade ihr erstes Semester am Lomas Malas Gemeinschaftscollege. What was I thinking
I was thinking 3 beautiful girls who enter a stripper contest to raise money to get themselves to Brown University. I'm not a fan of martial arts but, hey ho, I'll risk it. There were a LOT of martial arts fights throughout, some of which were not relevant to the story such as when the 3 girls had just left the strip club & were confronted by a group of US Navy sailors who'd been in the audience, now believing that the girls might go further with them in the car park. No prizes for guessing the outcome there. Despite all of that there's still the 3 girls performing in the final of the stripper competition. Well no. The definition of a stripper (female or male) is a performer who "dances" to music erotically gradually removing most, if not all, of their clothes. These girls were wearing bra's, pants & stockings or tights with short skirts in their 1st show & basques in the final. They removed the skirts in the 1st & the basques in the final & that's all. As one of the girls mentions she considers it go-go dancing not stripping. It was enough however for the blokes in the audience to get all worked up! There was nudity, a segue which cropped every 10mins or so with a topless woman dancing for about 5 seconds. Who she was I have no idea. She wasn't in any other parts of the film. Then right at the end there's the compere of the contest on the phone to the girls with 2 random topless women sitting either side of him. Why they were there who knows. Another mystery was the packaging. Here on Amazon the cover shows a 15 certificate. The DVD I received was exactly the same cover except it had an 18 on it, also on the disc & I cannot for the life of me think of a reason for an 18 certificate. 15 is pushing it.There were a couple of positives that this film had, the 3 girls were sassy, attractive & fit without being over the top & best of all the running time is only 1 hour 18mins, 4mins of which are the end credits, although it felt longer.
