1880s farming
This book was featured on British TV. show Victorian farm some people spent one year on a farm from the 1880s and worked it with cattle, sheep, and hogs, They farmed wheat. The show is very good and very well done. It's on Tubi TV.

Great book
This book contains great info, and is easy to read. It is obvious that this was made from copies of the original type face to preserve original fonts and give the feel of an antique book. The page numbers suggest that this may be only one of a series of books, as the numbering does not start at page 1. I would buy this book again, and would also like to buy other volumes if available.

So much info to glean
My 11 year old daughter exclaimed, "You got the Book of the Farm!" She enjoyed the television program Victorian Farm on Amazon Prime and longs for the simple life of homesteading. Hubby dove in reading it to better serve our hobby farm.

Great tidbits for even the suburban Gardner
Lots of great info in this old book, great to read through and absorb some info, and keep on a shelf or on a a table for conversation.

Hard to Read
The book is definitely reproduced as a copy of the original text that it is so small that it actually makes it hard to read. Also, I see that there are three separate volumes for sale here on Amazon with the same title and author as this one book. Wonder what’s up with that as it says they are also reproduced copies of the original text. Further, the book cover on the back states that “This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important”. Doesn’t give any idea of who these people are, what group or association, or if there is a published list of such deemed works. Inquiring minds want to know!

Not the full book
It's not clear from the product description that this is just part four of a six part work. The printing is much too small to be comfortable to read for very long. Keep looking for a better quality reprint

Poor quality
Poor quality, just badly photocopied, writing is blurry, it starts at page 261!? Waste of money, don't bother.

Returned, Refunded. TINY print. NOT the entire book!! This starts at page 261.
Returned it, and got a refund. NOT the whole book!! Says Division IV inside the book... Does not say anywhere that this is only "a part" of the book in the amazon description. Furthermore, it starts out on page 261, and says "spring, continued" under the heading. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought it. I paid 35 for the hardcover copy too, because I wanted a big hardcover easy to read. This is a reproduction with print so small, I doubt I could spend much time reading it without getting eye strain. The way the re-printed it, they left a ton of blank space all around. This is available in the public domain FREE online. Had I known how bad this print out would be, and that it was only a part of the book, I would simply have downloaded the free PDF to my tablet where I could actually zoom in and see what I'm reading (which I will have to do now, to read this).
