Very nice security option for your home or office
I've been reviewing a lot of hidden security cameras, most of them in the category of clocks, so I decided to try something completely different with this picture frame camera. I was a little skeptical going in, but after spending time with this, I've concluded that it's a very nice addition to my options for security cameras.First, I see a LOT of confusion and some bad reviews because people could not get it to connect to their WI Fi network. I think there is one common theme. The manufacturer says this is NOT compatible with a 5G network. And most people have 5G routers these days. So they may conclude it will not work for them. That is NOT true! You simply cannot do the INITIAL connection with your 5G active on your router. If you do, it will not set up and connect. What you have to do is disable the 5G on your router when setting this up - it's simple. For example, from the instructions on some popular Netgear routers:Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router's network. The user name is admin. ... Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless settings. ... In the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz sections, select or clear the Enable Wireless Router Radio check boxes. Then when you are done setting up the camera, you go back in and turn it back on, and it will work fine. Google then instructions for your router brand but they will be similar to this. Again, it WILL work with your 5G on your router turned on AFTER you set it up.If you've set any of the hidden cameras up, the instructions will be very familiar. It took me about 10 minutes from start to finish to set this up.One key difference between this camera and clock cameras. Most clock cameras stay plugged in so they can work 24/7. The people making this realized that a picture frame that was plugged into power would draw attention and look suspicious, so they decided this would be 100% battery operated and thus no wires. This also means that you can hang it on a wall as well as put it on any flat surface, making it very versatile and inconspicuous. Even if someone admire the photo in the frame, and you can put any 5x7" photo in the frame, the camera is extremely well hidden. If you use the motion detection routine the battery will last a very long time, depending on how many times it picks up motion and turns on; I timed it for continuous recording and it lasted a little less than what they claim for battery life - they claim 30 hours, I got about 24 hours (which is still a long time.) Once the battery runs down, you simply plug it in and recharge it (again, it does not run from the plug in power, that is only to recharge.)So setting it up is pretty straightforward if you understand you need to turn the 5G off on your router (and then turn it back on once the camera is set up) and good battery life, also very "normal" looking and unobtrusive. Next is picture quality. This is "only" 720p (vs. 1080p) but 720p is very sharp for most people. I suspect that also helps with battery life. Daytime picture quality is quite good, but that's true for most security cams that aren't in the super cheap range. Nighttime/night vision is usually the test, and here the picture quality is quite good. It's in black and white, which means shades of grey, and in my tests the picture was quite sharp. Of course, the picture is sharper with even a touch of light in the room than in total darkness, but it is extremely usable. One last minor comment: This was more solid and heavier than I expected. It does not feel cheap in any way.One thing that separates the Fuvsion products from some other products in this category, in my experience, is their technical support. They have responded to my request for clarification or any other questions EXTREMELY quickly in email.Overall, this is a 5 star product for me. I've purchased and returned a few products in the hidden camera category, but not only is this a keeper but I will be buying a second one for my wife to use when she is traveling without me, to set up in her hotel room to make sure no one is stealing or doing anything else in her room when she is out. A thumbs up from me.

App and Power Issues
The product requires use of an app in order to do anything other than record video. I was never able to get the product to sync with the app. When setting up the product in the app, it uses a "sound sync" which my product never recognized, even after 7 tries with my volume on maximum. With the app, you should be able to set up motion detection, view video remotely, turn on/off night vision. Note: the app must use wifi, and cannot use 5 GHz (only 2.4GHz). Additionally, being that it's a Chinese app and requires the login to your router, I would recommend setting up a guest login to use for this.So I wasn't able to set up the product, but it did still record video. The video quality is very good. I don't know whether it was an issue with only mine, but I was never able to get a recording more than 1 minute long. It looked like the device had some power quality issues. After 2 hours of recording, I had 269 video files ranging in length from 10 seconds to 59 seconds. Many of the videos started with the picture "fading in" which is why I think there was a power quality issue. Every time power quality dipped too low, the video stopped, then restarted when the quality returned. The videos have the standard date and time stamp on the bottom of them. Mine was stamped with the year 1970, which I'm sure adjustable in the app.

Good picture and connection, but camera placement not great for babies
We bought this because we hired a nanny for our first baby and i heard of all of the horror stories of nannies mistreating babies:(. The picture quality and motion sensor are fine and adequate to monitor the baby, but the camera is fixed and on the top of the picture frame, so I really couldn’t see the baby or the nanny when they were on the ground playing unless i put the picture frame on the floor which would be conspicuous. We had a second one in our bedroom where we have a taller dresser and because the camera is on top of the picture frame, we could only see the top of the nanny’s head. We had to return it. However, it was super easy to set up and very easy to connect to while I was at work. I also really liked that it would record for when I was busy at work and couldn’t check in.

Perfect hidden camera
This product is awesome and looking for something to put int he house that doesn't stand out. I currently have a couple camera but everyone can easily spot them. I had set this up ( took about 5 minutes) and had it working. The app has a mic button which doesn't work ( but says that in title) I would like to see that removed. But its very responsive. The camera quality isn't the best But thats expected and it still looks really good but its not 1080p. The night time mode works great and have no issues what so ever. The one thing I wish is that you can enable motion but not have notifications on the app. I want it to record motion but not give me alerts. I don't see a way to do that. The first time i set it up the wife came home and was like this is nice and had no idea it was a camera. I had to show her even then she thought i was lying. So took off the case and showed her the camera. You CAN NOT SEE the camera the design is perfect for hiding the camera and the the fact that power cable is not needed makes it even better. If you are looking for a nice hidden camera this is the one to get!

Great Camera, but Battery Not Replaceable
I first bought the camera and I had to return it because the picture quality was off and not working properly. They sent me a replacement and the app and camera worked great together. The quality is good and for the price it's worth it, HOWEVER, the jerks who designed the product have permanently enclosed the battery so it is inaccessible. So now after 11 months, the battery was worn out and I CAN'T REPLACE IT! So now the product is no good. In conclusion, the camera is great, but I still wouldn't buy it and look for one that you can replace the battery.

Nice product
It's WiFi enabled, so remote control and stream real-time video anywhere are super practical. The embedded 10000 mAh rechargeable battery and records and alerts only for when motion is detected ensures no battery power ever goes wasted, and can last for weeks. Very convenient. Plus, the design is as graceful as how discreet it is.
