This mat is incredibly slippery. Contrary to its description, it doesn’t grip your hands or feet at all. If you are new to yoga and intending to buy a cheaper mat, I don’t recommend this one at all because it makes you so unsteady and makes poses like downward dog unnecessarily difficult because your feet are sliding one way and your hands the other.Unlike other thin mats, you also feel the floor pretty painfully if you’re on your knees or sitting cross legged. I have bony ankles, so sitting cross legged on this mat is very uncomfortable, and doing any kind of lunge with one knee down is totally out of the question.All the blame doesn’t have to be on this mat. I’ve realized that if you want a mat that’ll support you and make your practice functional, you kind of just have to deal with spending more money. My advice to people just trying yoga for now who don’t want to commit to a $60 mat yet is to just borrow the mats available at most yoga studios, until you’ve decided whether this practice is for you or not, and then commit to buying a higher quality mat. That’s what I’m going to do now because this is my second cheap mat.

This mat is perfect! The mat color is bright and the mat is soft and thick. My other yoga mat was not sturdy and slippery with sweat but this mat wicks the moisture away and sturdy. This mat is soft and cushiony that I did not feel any discomfort. It's a great quality mat and enjoying my yoga sessions.

I absolutely love the yoga mat I ordered! Looks exactly like the pictures and it's super comfortable. It's lightweight enough to carry but also is made up of thick material so it's great for all types of poses! I would highly recommend.

After reading what seemed like thousands of yoga mat reviews i finally went with this one and am so happy i did! Good thickness provides nice cushion. First use i thought it was a little slippery but i have used it every day for the past week and have had no issues slipping. Good grip. I also was surprised to see the beautiful lotus design was on both ends of the mat. It’s provides something to focus on during the balance poses. Love this mat!

I ordered and received the rubber yoga mat. It is great. Pros: nonslip on any surface, the mat doesn’t stretch. No longer do my feet or hands start sliding away in plank or down dog. Though the mat is not soft and pillowy, it is definitely easy on the elbows and knees. The mat has no bad or chemical smell. It seems extremely durable. One side is smooth and the other has a more grippy texture to it. Cons: the mat is heavy: at least twice the weight of my old synthetic mat. This factor might be something you want to consider if you lug your yoga mat around with you a lot.

I ordered this mat based on the "extra thick" headline. Silly me for not reading the fine print. 5mm is not extra thick...it's not even thick. I needed a thicker mat due to a back injury and this was not it. So disappointing.

After nearly 10 years of regular use, including travel, my Jade yoga mat was pretty beat up. Deciding to save a little and still, allegedly, get a quality mat, I went with this one. I already see wear and this mat is not extra thick as promised. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for.
