I ordered this product to replace a weak battery in a Dell Inspiron 5378 which was just over 2 years old. For those who are suffering with low battery times your battery can be checked by hitting the F2 key when the Dell logo appears on start up. this gives access to the menu and you can select battery condition.When mine showed poor battery condition I went to the Dell web site. There I was told only Dell sold their batteries. The price of a replacement there was over £100. I made a further search online and this revealed that Dell associate companies sold batteries in USA.A search of Amazon revealed this genuine Dell battery. I ordered it and it arrived next day at a cost under £50. It arrived double boxed. The internal box had a logo of an associate Dell company on it. The only thing in the box was the battery which was identical to the one in my laptop.Having watched a good Youtube video on battery replacement I removed the screws on the back cover and then used a tool to prise off the cover. The cover is held on with clips and magnets and is a little difficult to get off the first time. 4 screws are required to be removed on the battery and you need to pull out the lead which connnects it to the mother board. If you remove the battery and the lead you will have to put the lead onto the new battery to plug it into the mother board. Drop the new battery in and screw it in. Be careful in replacing the mother case back plate to make sure it is aligned correctly. When it is press it down until it clicks in. Then screw it up.When I switch the laptop on it showed 20% charge. It thereafter took just under two hours to fully charge.A check of the battery thereafter show excellent condition.All done within one hour of receipt of the battery without any experience of battery replacement.If you need a battery buy this genuine Dell product. I believe it is a bargain despite the small price increase since my purchase.I will certainly buy again.About a year down the line this battery in functioning well. Holding the charge and charging quickly.As I have said the original battery only lasted just over 2 years. I have another Dell 5378 laptop which was purchased about the same time as the other one. I have not replaced the battery in this one as it has been tested and is 100%. This laptop has the i7 processor while the other one has the i5. Both laptops have similar usage.I have come to a concussion there are batteries and there are batteries.I will still buy this battery when I do come to replace it despite the price rise.

It's so easy to replace a laptop battery, more people should do it rather than pay stupid amounts of money for someone else to do it.

Brilliant genuine dell battery I have been using it a few months now with no problems and great battery life.

This came supplied with a connector, which I'm sure a previous 100% genuine Dell battery (from Dell) did not have. I've not replaced the battery in my Dell 7573 for 4 years, since I swapped the original larger 4 cell for this 3 cell to install an industrial/professional grade and reliable 2.5 inch SSD. So I'd forgotten how to pull the cable out, being a little concerned I'd damage it. After watching youtube I found a similar model. I did need some mini PC maintenance pliers to grip the plastic connector and pull that with force, not the thin strip cable. Just take your time and use an anti-static strap connected to something that's earthed, you don't want to damage other items. But installed nicely.

Much quicker then Dell as I needed a battery for my 7yr old laptop, but iv only gave 3 stars as one screw lug on the battery was broken on arrival so i was only able to hold the battery in with 3 screws not 4! And plus the battery dont say Dell on it as shown in the pic.. I did a online Dell hardware test and it reconnise it as a Dell batt . But apart from a simple job to do.

My original Dell battery had failed - resulting in my machine not being very portable at all - as it just failed straight away if not plugged in.Got this original part and fitted it quite easily - not difficult with video help!!Laptop now has new lease of life

My laptop kept warning me that my battery was in need of replacement after 5 years. This apparently genuine Dell replacement did the job. Quite fiddly to fit, lots of screws to remove, ribbon cable etc. I checked a couple of YouTube videos for the procedure. However, the results are excellent. Laptop back to new battery performance, charging fine etc. Not the cheapest but does the job well.

I have replaced my Dell Inspiron 14 5482 2 in 1’s battery.Fyi: Model which bends 360 and it comes with a pen.This battery has been a perfect replacement. Services centre asked double amount to replace it with 1 week for the order process and then 4 hours of replacement time on the day of replacement.This was my first time replacing the battery and it took me 10 mins and as an extra spend had to order pocket screwdriver set. But it was great experience.Battery worked fine and is still working good. Had a few hiccups with charging and discharging but it eventually got resolved within first week. I think it’s worth investing in.Note: Dispose old battery’s somewhere that will ensure safety. Like responsible electronic shops who care about e-waste.

Wenn ja, wird es zwei Jahre ohne Probleme dauern, aber mehr als das, wird mein Notebook nicht dauern

Ho acquistato questa batteria in sostituzione di quella originale Dell su un notebook, è compatibile ed economica eppure mi ha stupito, funziona benissimo e tiene la carica come l'originale. L'ho installata in poco tempo perchè lo faccio di mestiere, ma se non avete la manualità è meglio farsi affiancare da mani esperte per non fare danni. Controllate anche moto bene il modello del vostro notebook Dell così da verificare se questa batteria è effettivamente compatibile con il vostro dispositivo. Arrivata in pochissimo tempo grazie ad Amazon!
