Is not designed to deal with scale
The packaging explicitly says it is designed for water scale, but my plumber says this product lacks beads (aka media that would absorb the calcium / magnesium ions) and that I would have to descale my tankless water heater should I use these filters.He shook the product and said generally you should hear something that sounds like beads when you shake it to know that it has the media in the filter, and he does not hear it with this product.My plumber personally recommends the following model / brands:Compatible for The Heater Treater 20 Replacement Cartridge by CFSFalsken FTHT-20RF
