Devcon Epoxy Bathtub Repair Kit (Almond & White) 2 PACK

I used this to fix a small 0.5” hole in my fiberglass bathtub. It’s easy to use but I have some advice. 1) Prep everything ahead of time; the goop thickens quickly once it’s mixed. 2) Pull loose bristles out of the brush before you start. A few came out as I applied the goop to the surface and I had to carefully pick them out of it. 3) If you have any uneven texture when you’re finished, let it dry for a minute and then lick your fingertip and run it over the top to smooth it out. Licking it prevents the goop from sticking to your finger. I got mine almost completely smooth using this method.

I had a chip in the bottom of my fiberglass shower. I just needed something to fill the little hole. This worked well enough. It doesn't look perfect, but it certainly looks good enough no one will notice unless they are looking for it. It was a bit tough to work with properly, but since I only needed a little bit it was fine. It was a bit runny, so I had to wait for it to set up a bit to really get it to stay in place.

Instructions were easy to follow. YouTube had a video on how to use. Color match was almost flawless. I used a power sander and got an excellent finish. Took about 15 minutes to do, five minutes to sand. Wife couldn't see where the 1/4 in hole had been. Good product.

The product packaging claims to be for cracks or holes. I was trying to fill 6 screw holes after installing new grab bars in the tub. When it was clear that neither the epoxy alone, nor the provided fiberglass we’re going to fill holes, I had to improvise. Also the almond color packet says to “pour into tray and mix…” it was not a pourable consistency; the bag it was n had to be pulled open and then paint brush used to scoop some out and mix a small portion. If I needed a larger area the color packet would not have been sufficient.

I worked in a fiberglass shop at Boeing years ago so I know fiberglass. I bought a double pack because I read someone complained about not enough coloring. In the 1st package one of the ingredients had hardened and even though I spent the time to break it up prior to mixing it never set up so after 24 hours I cleaned it out and tried the 2nd pack which mixed well and all the ingredients seemed correct. After blending for 5 minutes I applied to the clean and sanded surface. It has now been 24 hours and it is still tacky! It's GARBAGE, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Fixed a hole in the shower pan of my motor home and it worked great. Once you pour it out to put on huh have to work fast because it sets up in minutes. Oh there two patch kit in a kit so don’t need to buy two just one.

I have used this product twice and am very happy with the results. The product is easy to use and does a great job.
