Product Description Ideal for distributing TV/FM/DAB signals for 8 TVs & high level output for further distribution This fully screened distribution amplifier carries analogue/digital TV and radio, FM/DAB, Freeview, DVB-T and DVB-T2 HD TV signals and has: Separate inputs for VHF (Band III TV, FM and DAB digital radio) and UHF (Freeview, DVB-T and DVB-T2 HD digital TV) Automatic line powering on the UHF input to power a masthead pre-amplifier for fringe reception areas or if you have a long cable run from aerial to amplifier. FULL (17dB) output which can either be used for very long cable runs or via a signal splitter to feed up to 8 further points. A built-in Class 3 4G filter providing 45dB interference protection More efficient Switch-Mode Power Supply which runs cooler Improved gain flatness delivering a better balance across the performance range Lower noise figure for optimised signal quality Greater signal handling capacity to cope with more channels Better impedance matching and therefore improved signal transfer from amp to cable Compliant with the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU* and meets harmonised standard EN 303 354 for product Type D, Class 3. Please Note: 1 If the “FULL” power socket is not being used it must be terminated with the 75Ω terminator supplied. 2. This amplifier does not have an IR return path to enable channel changing from remote locations and also due to the 4G filter does not receive channel 60. 3. If you need to receive channel 60 and or wish to control remote TVs we recommend the Labgear LDL DigiLink Class 0 range of amplifiers with IR digital bypass. Box Contains 1 x Amplifier

Good amp but be aware of the F type connectors!! Also note the VHF issue
This was to replace a very old Labgear. With UHF and VHF inputs. Initially I found that both TV and the BT Box (on HD channels only) signal was dropping out in a cycle of about two seconds. All other Channels apart from HD were good. Because I had changed the Ariel at the same time (which was originally faulty) I called the Ariel person back. He naturally blamed the new distribution amp. After I tried lots of different things I found the issue. Disconnecting the VHF feed into the new distribution amp fix the problem. It was the same with a new Signal SLX amp! So I purchased a TV/VHF splitter so that VHF was filtered before going into TV and BT Box. All was fixed!! The Ariel person had not seen this issue before so be aware. This is a good product and recommended.

Bad design, connections very poor
The input connection was loose, did not work.Outside of Amazon's return window, so opened it up to have a look. The connections are soldered inside, and a blob of solder bridges the gap between the connector and circuit board. These solder connections fail. Because the f type connector screws in, it's very easy to turn the connector slightly, breaking the solder joint.Design is rubbish, very high chance of failure in the connections.

It just does the job specified.
I purchased this to replace my previous house TV/FM/DAB distribution which failed after 26 years. Inputs are UHF TV with 12 volt aerial pre-amp power if required and a 4G filter plus an additional input is provided for Band 2 and 3 FM/DAB radio. I use a separate combiner for FM/DAB aerials to facilitate full house distribution for all 3 signals. There are 8 amplified and interaction isolated outputs plus a separate higher output signal which can be used with an additional passive splitter if required. This unit as the last one did, uses all F-Connectors which I’ve found much more reliable and easier to fit than the coax-connectors that also require soldering. It was received and fitted in the loft on the day received and was delivered and was ordered the previous day. Surprisingly, it was almost the same price as the one bought all those years ago.

Very good aerial amplifier.
This amp is the best I have ever had, since the Freeview change around of frequencies we have often had picture freezing or NO SIGNAL come up. The ordinary digital channels were seriously affected by a weak signal but the HD ones were okay. This amp has put them all back to 100% quality and almost 100% signal strength. What a great result. I had read that 4k mobile signals can interfere and this amp has a filter to take care of that so I am very pleased with this purchase. Pictures are improved and back to how things were before the changing of channel frequencies which are all in the 30s to 40s channels group now. FM radio signal is also improved. Thanks Labgear. Recommended.

Better picture than my old booster
Replaced an old booster in the loft. Reception is definitely better now, but not as much an improvement as I hoped - maybe I was hoping too much. I think some of the wiring is not too good a quality so I will assume that is the problem as much as anything.I had to buy some F type connectors to replace the old ones, and this was a revelation !Much easier to wire up and results in a more sturdy fitting.

Does the job feeding multiple digital TVs from one aerial
I bought this to replace a twenty year old Labgear amplifier hoping it would restore some weak channels that were breaking up. In fact it made no difference. Instead connecting a cheap amplifier between the input of the Labgear and the aerial did the trick. Having fitted the new Lagear amp and changed all the connectors (from push-fit coax to screw-fit F connectors) I will keep it.

Worked out of the box
I was looking to increase the number of outputs on my existing RF distribution amplifier and chose this one from Labgear. It worked out of the box, without any problems (no signs of any loose connectors). I have a 48 element TV aerial and an omnidirectional FM aerial, both mounted in my loft. The FM aerial also seems to pick up DAB well.I am not sure if it is better or worse than other distribution amplifiers but it is doing the job for me. Getting a good strong signal on my TVs and Radios.

Great result
This replaced an existing Labgear amplifier that had been in place for a couple of decades which was not up to providing a decent picture on HD channels. This replacement, which was very straight forward to set up, has solved all those problems. Every TV in the house now has a great picture.
