Okay, so here's my review. First off, I have an old Dell laptop 2014 that only has USB 2.0 and the original Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card. Also, I have a router that supports dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels.The rate plan I have from my internet provider is 300 Mbps. It's not top speed, but for what I do, stream movies, play video games and surf the web, it's more than plenty.Here's my proof the ANEWKODI AC1200 Adaptor works!. Before the wireless adaptor upgrade, I was downloading at 43 Mbps using the Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card that came with my laptop.I knew that to get the maximum download speeds; I'd need to plug the adaptor into a USB 3.0 port. So I also bought a USB 3.0 express card with the ANEWKODI AC1200Once I installed the USB 3.0 express card with the ANEWKODI AC1200 adaptor, download speeds increased to 225 Mbps. There were also times during the speed test when the needle jumped to 275 MBPS.I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have made, but there were also other wireless devices in my home sharing the bandwidth. I have one desktop PC in my home that I cant not hard wire to the router unless i want to drill through cement. Now without going into PC placement debate options, I just use wifi network adapter/cards. So i am always looking for a better one and until i got this one i only used the netgear A7000 nighthawk wifi adapter. I have compared the two multiple times and I continually get a better a stronger an faster signal. Running multiple speed tests on this adapter I am continually getting better numbers with the Anewkodi adapter. To be honest I am kinda mad I spent the money on the nighthawk when this adapter is a third the price but gives better results. Like right now as I am writing this I have netflix on one screen running while on the other I have a football stream with amazon review window nothing is lagging. I even tested it on a laptop that has built in wifi adapter and it had a stronger signal there too. So to end this ramble great adapter with a unbeatable price I will be getting another one.

I used to own the ANEWKODI 600Mbps Dual Band wireless adapter for about a year, and had a good experience with it. Although I did require a replacement for it, the company was very professional and sent me one immediately. With that in mind, when I saw they had this newer adapter I felt confident in my purchase. I was even happier when I used it, it has a 50% improvement in speed over the last adapter. It's built more rugged, the antenna is solid and larger than the last.There's really nothing to complain about here. It's a great product, extremely simple to use with no need for any CD to install something (despite them including one in the box just in case). It does it's job wonderfully, and is a good upgrade from a smaller adapter. It has real performance improvements, and atop it all you get a good warranty and great customer service. All for a good price. Worth a buy definitely.

I was able to install the drivers for the chipset off of Git directly from the developer slightly newer than the supplied one but still the same code. I did encounter a issue make sure you use sudo when you run the setup. Since the driver is a kernel module and one not included in the distro (yet) it required running in insecure mode. But that said the device is working well and I get excellent speed to my Router and Fiber internet connection. 250Mbits easily. Some issues with closing the lid and sleeping the laptop. This is a good choice for older laptops that may not support internal upgrade to AC chipset...

Works great. Easy to install. Excellent option for older out-dated PC's. I selected this product because it is compatible with Windows Vista 32-bit unlike most other wireless adapters that are only compatible with 64-bit and 86-bit. A friend of mine has an older computer with the dinosaur Operating System (Vista 32-bit) with no WiFi, so this was one of those unique occasions where the typical compatible components would not work. Happy with purchase.

I received the ANEWKODI AC1200Mbps USB WiFi Adapter to test complementary. Since my WiFi Adapter in my computer is very poor in it's ability to keep me connected.I was using the ANEWKODI 600Mbps Dual Band (2.4G/150Mbps+5G/433Mbps) Wireless USB WiFi Adapter and the 1200 Mbps is a nice improvement.I used the CD that came with it and it was set up and working in minutes. My computer's OS is Windows 10.Other reviews spoke of it getting hot but I have not found that to be so. I am able to keep it connected to my Desktop computer all day without any issues.I highly recommend this product.

My parents 5-year old Dell all-in-one was getting download speeds between 1 and 2mbps on their crappy DSL service. Moved them over to a reasonable Xfinity plan, bought a good router and tested it on my laptop, around 60mbps. Tried it on their machine - same 1-2mbps. Ugh! Ordered this thing from Amazon and talked my dad through disabling the internal wireless card and installing this one. Took all of 15 minutes and he's running at 64mbps on the 2.4gig band (which is faster than the 5g). Awesome, don't have to buy them a new PC for a couple more years :-)

The Wi-Fi antenna works great. Windows did not auto detect the driver I had to search for it and download it. The screw that tightens it on the USB port also tends to be a little finicky and can easily come loose causing the antenna to drop down.
