No more tubes
This has saved my son from getting tubes. Before trying this he had an ear infection that lasted for months and was untouched by amoxicillin, followed by augmentin, then cefixime, and lastly rocephin shots for three days. After that, we were referred to the ENT who suggested he needed tubes ASAP. We scheduled the surgery but canceled once we were told it would be $4500, our portion AFTER insurance paid. (Our ded is $1000 and we have a 70/30 plan.) Because our son did not seem to be in severe pain, we set out to find an alternative. I ordered this and an otoscope to monitor progress. I had my pediatrician show me how to use the otoscope. I also bought hylands ear drops (over the counter) and eliminated dairy from his diet at the suggestion of the Dr. His first check up was three weeks after the rocephin shots (at his 1 year well visit) and he was infection free for the first time in months. It has since been 4 months and he still has not had one single infection from what I can see with the otoscope, and this was also confirmed by the Dr. at his 15 month appointment. We used the eardoc four times a day for 1 minute on each ear on the lowest setting until infection cleared. Now we use it prophylacticslly the same way when he gets a cold, bad allergies, or if we see him rubbing his ears more than usual, until symptoms subside. We also used it once on my 6 year old daughter, and her infection cleared in two days. I hope this review helps you decide. I was very skeptical but had nothing to lose. So far this has saved us thousands.

Save your money
If you have Otitis media, this will not do a single thing to help get rid of it. After using it several times over a few days in hopes that it would magically work, the only thing it managed to do was give me a headache. This is a cheap poorly made product that does not do what it claims to, think snake oil. I was an idiot and was desperate enough to try anything to get rid of my otitis media after my doctor told me it would likely stick around for a couple of months and go away on its own. That didn't sound like much fun to me so I jumped the gun and bought this while I was waiting for my prescription of antibiotics. This is where I imagine most people make the mistake of buying one of these, they are desperate for relief and are willing to throw money at the problem to make it go away. This was the first product that I have ever bought that had "As seen on TV" on the box, I knew it was the kiss of death but in my desperation I decided to break my streak and give it a shot.Save your money. See your doctor. Don't bother with "As seen on TV products". If you buy this, you will be left dissappointed and without 50 dollars. If the one I bought were not outside the return window I would send it back in a quick so if you are thinking about buying one, message me and I will send you mine first before you waste $50 bucks. Products like this are a big waste of peoples time.

The Eardoc: Is there a rating of less than one star?
Ok, so I gave in and bought the Eardoc. I tried it for a week... nothing except a stiff neck... I know, some guy (a representative from eardoc inc.) is going to tell me that I used it incorrectly. Nope... I did what the website told me to do. Held it correctly, as far as I know, because there are literally no directions that come with the thing, other than the basics from their website. Actually, the only paperwork that comes with it tells you how great it is, how it works for everyone else, and how it relieves a whole host of problems... It probably would even cure constipation if you hold it to your... (I wonder what they would rename it to if they wanted to market that?). They should include some real instructions for use and where exactly behind the ear you hold it. How much pressure should be applied to the unit while holding it against your head... Also, how to hold it without the batteries constantly falling out. I would like to know things like... How often may I use this product? That is a good start...I would also like to point out that there are absolutely no reviews on this product other than that other guys on Amazon who is probably the guy trying to sell it to us (if I'm wrong, sorry)... Oh yeah, the Eardoc's website thinks it is great too! So I am here to speak for reason's sake, well actually to say that there is no reason you should buy this product. My wife laughed at me when I opened the box and sheepishly smiled as I told her that this thing was going to really work. She quickly pointed out that if it was so great, why aren't they used at ENTs offices (real ENTs)... Smart woman! That's why I married her! Anyway, I have another appointment with an ENT in two days. I thought I would save a bunch on that, but it looks like I lost $50 on the Eardoc. So here is the moral of the story... if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. And in the case of the Eardoc... it was... sorry Eardoc So men, listen to your woman and women... if your husband is an idiot and buys one, it does vibrate well... so maybe there is a purpose for this thing after all! Well, it still isn't worth $50...
