Barrow CPU Waterblock for AMD Processors, Threadripper x399, Black

Got this considerably cheaper than the current $109 price, but even had I paid full price, it would be worth it. Solid build quality. Only downsides are these:1.) Barrow uses 5v rgb, but has a weird connector at the end that doesn't match up with most extenders and will not go directly to motherboard. I had an extender cable from my motherboard, I cut back the plastic to allow it to connect / slide in and works perfectly. There are some $10 cables you can order that are directly from barrow, but save yourself the money if you can.2.) The temperature read out is for the fluid temperature, not the processor temp. If you plug it into your motherboard set it to a static level instead of letting it be "auto" otherwise the lights will dim and brighten randomly. I ran mine to a psu connected fan plug so it is always on and stays steady.

Minus one star for poor machining of the cold plate.Minus two stars for the inside of the block being coated in some sort of oily residue that was coating thr backside of the acrylic view plate.Minus a final star for very poor packaging.I returned it rather than contaminate my loop with whatever the residue was or risk damaging the block taking it apart.There are much better made options for the money like the XSPC Raystorm Neo, or anyrhing, really.

Keeps my threadripper at 30 degrees idle, 49-54 degrees under load. I did not use the LED function of this waterblock, because thats not my thing. The Water temperature feature is pretty handy and looks "official".Downside: Included screws were too big, so I had to lightly drill the holes open just a smidge (5 minute process). This might have been a one off. THIS DID NOT TAKE AWAY FROM THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE BLOCK and I would purchase again.To the person above, maybe you should clean out the block with soap and water? If you haven't done that on your other water blocks/radiator, your loop is probably contaminated already.
