High Quality in every aspect and affordable
These headphones are much better than what I expected, if I am being completely honest.I've tested them out a decent bit, the last the 2 days, and I can easily give them a 5/5 already. Really solid Active Noise Cancelling even without music playing. It has high-quality materials, which gives it a really nice feel. I let my family try them out and everyone's first response came from simply holding them and they all were like "Oh wow". It has a heavier feel to it, but is still very light. The sound quality is really good at very high levels and low levels. It does not compromise sound quality to achieve this and so far from what it seems like the EQ modes are actually functional, although I personally won't be using them too much (but I might). Also the battery seems really good so far, I used it and tested it for a few hours over the last 2 days and my phone still says they are at 90% battery. Also, The buttons are durable, aren't easy to misclick, and simple to use.The only con to the earbuds are that they still have a wire, and I want a more discrete completely wire free earbud, but all-things considered I know that there aren't really good options for what I am looking for. This purchase made me really happy and felt the need to write a more comprehensive review below and I know that when Back Bay hopefully eventually makes a completely wireless system I will want to try them first before looking at other brands. These headphones work so well that my wife wants to return her other pairs for these lol.Comprehensive Review:I've always had a heightened sense of hearing, which can be a double-edged sword at times. I've always had to use "3M optane 98" sound blocking earmuffs when studying, which are pretty effective at "cancelling sound" pollution. Recently I had surgery, which caused my hearing to become more sensitive and by exposing myself to constant sound pollution I can mentally fatigue myself really quickly, which wasn't an issue prior to the operation and something that I will probably adjust to over time.Regardless, I got these headphones because I don't like headsets/earmuffs (like the 3m one or gaming headsets) in general and I needed a discrete solution. I wanted a wireless device that could be easily removed if needed and not noticeable if I am at an event or in public. Something that could block out sounds like the city traffic or rolling carts at a grocery store, dishwasher, etc. or conversations, if needed (I can hear casual conversations 1.5 grocery aisles away and listen to multiple at-a time, I really don't mean to eavesdrop I promise, I honestly don't care to know what kind of cereal you want to try, it just happens lol). Before my surgery I could tolerate this pollution, but right now it prevents me from spending a long time outside in public areas. So I stumbled upon these knowing that they may not be as effective as a Headset style noise cancelling device. Conveniently enough, my friend bought 250$ bose sound cancelling headset, so I had something to compare to. Honestly both of us said these Back Bay earbuds are nearly as good and surprisingly comfortable, so much that he was reconsidering his purchase. What I like about these earbuds are that they are extremely versatile.Off: They are like ear plugs, the fit is really nice ( i prefer airpods to earbuds, but these feel nice) and have basic noise reduction already.On-with ANC activated(No music playing): Sounds like the Dishwasher, heater, outside traffic nearly disappear. I am excited because I will be able to test them on an airplane soon and I am confident they will be effective. I also did not expect this, but voices and conversations are also filtered out pretty well. The difference between the ANC active and inactive with no music playing was extremely apparent and extremely satisfying. I walked through a busy retail store and it felt like I was alone pretty much. The other thing I noticed was that if a new constant sound is introduced then it allows me to hear the sound and after a few seconds it learns the sound and also filters that out, it seems like the programming was really well-made. Electronic voices though were not filtered, which is understandable, although it does reduce the slight staticky background noise with electronic voices.On- with music playing no ANC - like normal earbuds or headphonesOn- with music playing and ANC active - This is where all you can really hear is the music, noise pollution is muted, human voices muted, and electronic sounds are almost completely removed. I used the max volume of my desktop speakers(really loud). put on news. Played Mac Miller on my Back Bay earbuds. I turned the volume to about 60-70% on the music, which is loud, but with anc turned off, this is around when I could still hear the news and would sort of be able to understand what was being said. Then I turned on ANC and I stopped being able to hear the news, it was being filtered out pretty well. I lowered the volume of the music to a comfortably quieter volume with ANC on near 40-50% and still the news was filtered out pretty well. This was all for electronic voices which is different than natural human voices and the sound was projected towards me as well. I was not expecting it to work this well.So these earbuds are extremely discrete and high quality and extremely affordable at 45$ vs some 120-250$ options AND are extremely versatile with multiple levels of sound filtering. I would 100% recommend these products and want multiple pairs to know and confirm that these aren't just an outlier high-quality pair. Extremely confident in this company now. Especially because they also provided an extremely portable and durable feeling carrying case with cords and multiple size earbuds to ensure a snug fit and stability flap replacements. One slight negative i'll put at the end is that I think the material of the earbuds like to attract dust, but they are so comfortable and they gave a case to prevent any issues with that, so I think the material they chose was worth it, but if you plan to forsake the case, then you can maybe expect the covers to get a bit dusty, easy to clean though.Thank you for the pair!

Great Value, Great Customer Service
I have multiple sets of headphones and earbuds including Bose Quiet 35's, and Sony SP600N's. I was looking for a simple set of wireless noise canceling earbuds that were durable to use in my shop and while hiking. I came across these while surfing the web. It was hard to find much information on them but I noticed a reference to the Berkley School of Music in Boston near the Back Bay. My son spent a summer there an I know there are awesome musicians there so I took a chance on these.I was excited when I received the shipment. The unboxing experience was good. I really like the design of the back band and the earbuds. The quality seems to be very good and solid. The design is clean and simple, exactly what I was looking for. The fit is very comfortable for me out of the box, although they include extra sizes for the rubber ear plugs. The sound. Well, unfortunately, the pair I received intially had an issue with the base. There was a odd rattling distortion with the first pair I recieved. I was unhappy, but I contacted Back Bay support directly and I was very pleastenly surprised. They answered my email almost imediately. Talked with a guy name Jake. He was very responsive and authorized a quick return and replacement the same day. Very nice customer support.I recived the secon pair in a couple of days. The second pair was perfect. The sound is great and I really like them. As they describe on their web site, they are designed to have a "HiFi" sound. To me that means they don't have great low end, but the sound is very clean and good especially when listenting to live performances. I like the clear separation of parts and vocals I get from the earbuds. They are most comparable to my Sony SP600N's, but I actually like the Back Bay's better than the Sony's they fit better and I like the sound better. The battery life seems to be very good. They bluetooth pairing works great 1st time, and I really like the simplicity of the controls. I like these so much that I bought a second pair for my brother as a present. The second pair also did not have the defect I saw in the first pair. These are not the same thing as my Bose Quiet 35's but I like them a lot and would recommend them to others. Keep going Back Bay.

Keep your money. You get what you pay for.
I would not recommend this product. I purchased for a two week trip and tried them out before leaving. The sound was actually pretty good, however I was not around any loud noises during the trial other than background tv noise. I know noise cancelling ear buds don’t really do much in light noises so I figured I would try them for the trip. That was a bad choice. First, after charging them overnight, I could not get them to turn on when I got on the plane. I plugged them into the USB on the plane for a bit and was able to get them turned on after hitting the “on” button multiple times. The noise cancelling light was on but I could not hear much over the plane noise. I turned off noise cancelling and could not tell the difference. What a disappointment. Fortunately I had another pair of non-noise cancelling earbuds I was able to use. I planned on returning, but alas, I am two days late after returning from vacation.
