This was an impulse buy and is now my new favorite to go to every day perfume. Love petrichor! Smells so natural and clean!Love love love!

Headache inducing nauseating fragrance
An absolutely hideous and nauseating fragrance. I was quite enamoured with the idea of the scent of the fresh fallen rain entrapped in a bottle and given Demeeter’s general respectability went in for a blind purchase. Easily the most nauseating fragrance I have owned, with tremendous sillage and longetivity. I even tried to give the bottle away, but nobody I knew wanted to deal with the nausea and the headaches either. Eventually ended up trashing it. Very disappointed in the product, but since it’s a matter of poor taste and not quality, there’s not much anyone can do about it, but avoid spending the money to buy it.

Give it a try
The low score scared me initially, but I really enjoy this smell. I don't really have the vocabulary to describe scents, but I'll say that the scent is not *entirely* that of petrichor, as it has a bit of sweetness to it. It's a cozy scent, like one an owner might spray an Air BnB with before people rent the place.it doesn't last, however, and I don't use it as a body scent,so YMMV.i recommended it.

Does not smell like the roll-on
The roll-on is delightful. When you spray this, it's pungent and does not smell the same. Not a big fan. It does last long, though.

An okay general fragrance
Purchasing a perfume or cologne online is a 50/50 chance of getting a fragrance you like. This one is okay, more of a neutral rain smell. I wouldn't say that it is a true petrichor since I think it lacks more of the earthy smell (think wood, moss, dirt) but it does have a bit of a water/rain note. It is okay and I will use this mostly in the summertime but I won't repurchase only because it is not what I was looking for. Fragrance seems to last about 5 - 6 hours.

Its a nice smell but I am biased. This line is the closest fragrances I can find to CB I HATE PERFUME, which is buy the founder of Demeter.

Smells like gasoline, nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol
I have never been SO disappointed in an amazon purchase (and I even had a bottle of fish oil explode in a package during delivery). This was absolutely grotesque. This not only doesn't smell like "earth after rain", it smells straight up UNNATURAL. The closest things I could compare it to, are gasoline, nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol. Maybe a very slight hint of rotting vegetables. It was so bad me and my boyfriend were both gagging and had to light candles and wash our clothes.As if the straight horrid smell wasn't enough, the item isn't eligible for return. Don't waste your money.
