Heavy Duty Bungee Dog Lead Strong Reflective Pet Training Rope Leash for Medium and Large Dogs

Our dog behaviourist recommended a bungee lead. My dog is a sweetheart, but has fear based dog aggression. He walks better on the bungee and is easier to control when the dreaded happens and we see another dog! It's the perfect length I'm 5ft 1 and my partner is 6ft and it works just fine for both of us. My absolute favourite thing is the bungee lead uses his own momentum again him, if he lunges for another dog it pings him back. At first I was concerned when I ordered it that it may not be suitable as I have a bichon and it indicated it was more suitable for larger breeds, but I'm happy to say it works great for my little boy too.

We have two rescue dogs. Their combined force when going through the door for "walkies" was a challenge and I worried that they would pull me along quicker than I wanted. These leads have changed that. When they pull the bungee lead exerts a counter force meaning that I don't have to pull them back, the lead does it. Hoping that the elastic lasts because walking them now is so much easier !! The only issue I would have is that having small hands I find the handle a bit too cumbersome. So when I come to replace them, if that could be changed on the next design, without altering the effectiveness, I would be 110% happy.

This seems to be a very well made sturdy lead, it is VERY comfortable to hold. I have never used one of these types of lead before so at present it probably wasn't really what I was looking for although I thought it was !I'm trying to teach a puppy, albeit it a very strong puppy, control and I thought the bungee action might stop him jumping up at people and lunging for bikes/cars etc. It doesn't do that and actually means I have less control than I do with a convential lead, doesn't stop the pulling either. I can see that I will enjoy using this when he is a bit older it is just not for now, but that is my mistake.

The ‘bungee’ effect on this short lead is helping me to walk my beagle, road-side: I feel to have more control, as it gives Ollie a stronger message that I’m in charge! Beagles do not walk in a straight line, and he’s tripped me up twice previously, causing me physical injuries.However, because this lead is very short, I attach it to the end of his old one, and that works well too to give Ollie a bit more freedom to sniff around, where it’s appropriate.The only drawback for me is the thickness of the handle. For my small hands, it could do with being a bit narrower; I have to make sure I have a firm grip around it; whereas, with a longer lead you can just thread it over your hand. Nonetheless, walking Ollie along paths and roadsides is certainly much pleasanter now.

I've been using this a lead for almost a week now and it's superb, really strong, nice and bright in the dark and the bungee effect works very well in cushioning your dogs pull.My dog was knocked over by a car a few years ago, broke 2 legs and lunges at any that come too close. Hopefully his fears will ease over time, but until then this lead keeps him in check and gives me more confidence on his walks. Highly recommended and i'll be buying a spare come pay day.

Lead was brought to use for training a very nervous dog for path walking near roads. Looked perfect as its is mentioned for training. The lead was attached to a head collar and the first 3 walks were good. However in the latest walk my dog twisted when scared by a passing lorry and the lead detached from the connector on the collar and my dog ended up in the road. Luckily we were able to retrieve him in time before there was an accident. This was a total shock and we still aren't sure how it detached but will be returning and buying a lead with a standard opening clip on the end.

Bought this to go with a new harness for our 27kg lab/collie cross.He has a tendency to make a dash to try to chase cars, birds, leaves etc while we’re out walking - which can hurt our shoulders.This lead absorbs some of that and really helps take the strain.The only downside is that the hook on the end doesn’t open as much as we’d like - making it difficult to get on & off the harness.

This is the second purchase of this lead as I wanted one for each dog. The handle is neoprene making it really comfortable with a dog with a tendency to pull. The reflective material is useful as a safety feature at night.I really like the additional security of the twist to open carabiner. The lever-type carabiners can be liable to snap, but the twist and slide operation of this clip means there is less chance of the clip failing.
