These are hot, deadly hot but the flavor notes of Birdseye chili are complex with depth. No bitter taste. I made sauces and grilled with these but watch out, don't eat one or you'l be very, very sorry! You can grind just one in a paste with other ingredients and you'll see what I mean and this is someone who loves chili's and spice! So glad Frontier had them because I've been paying out the nose for just an ounce of two previously. One of my favorites is to let a handful soak in red wine vinegar and then use the vinegar as a base. It is shockingly spicy but oh so good.

We have always relied on Fronltier Co-op for our BirdseyeChilies. They have substantial heat, and they are possessed of an amazing flavour that adds to so many meal types. We have a coffee grinder that is just for turning these pods into powder, which makes it easy to use for travel use, as well as at home.

I put these in a food processor and then add them to a pepper grinder to put all over my food. I don't use them that much anymore because birdseye simply aren't very spicy compared to my ginders full of reaper, scorpion, and ghost. But they still offer a nice subtle kick when I want to tone it down.

Last spring I purchased a few Thai Chili plants on Amazon and kept the most hearty one which produced the most amazingly flavorful and spicy Thai peppers I've ever had. The flavor wasn't quite what we had gotten used to, and the heat was a little less, but it was still excellent. We expect this package will last us a good half year.I'm still giving this 5 stars just because it's not fair comparing it to fresh, garden-grown peppers.That said, I would appreciate if the owner of this page and product lists the exact species of peppers these are.

these were exactly the sane product as far more expensive pira pira. quantity will last long time. great heat, unique birds eye flavor. whole unbroken visually appealing
