book falling apart when received
The book arrived, falling apart. Apparently the binding wasn’t done well. Pages are literally falling out as I attempted to read the book. So far the book seems well written, just poor binding. I really don’t want to go through the hassle of trying to return the book as I doubt it could be resold anyway.

Are you ready to be free?
There is NOTHING tiny about this book. I ordered it a few months ago, after joining Tiny Buddha's Facebook page. At that time, I was embarking, (very reluctantly), on a series of life-changes, much like the author Lori Deschene. I find her writing style earnest, poignant, humble, and filled with a perspective that offers hope, courage, and even excitement regarding the often scary topic of change. Her chapters offer wise insight and light into pain, happiness, love, and possibilities which literally reached out, grabbed me by the shoulders, and shook me to the core. Reading her sage stories, (punctuated by quotes from her many wise Twitter followers) made her messages real, and therefore, obtainable. Unlike the plethora of books out there that make personal growth seem like the Holy Grail, Lori has distilled a series of hefty topics down to their sweetest essence. Lori's insight is part and parcel to me finding the strength to embrace and nurture life rather than run and hide from it. Lori writes, "We can take almost anything that hurts and recycle into something good, once we are ready to learn from it...this all depends on the most important question: are you ready to be free?" If you are, order Tiny Buddha immediately, if not sooner.

Helpful, smart, inspiring, uplifting, readable - Thank you!
For me, right now, it really 'hit the spot'. I'm about to give birth and thus pretty tired and busy, and not really in a position to read anything heavyweight (though the ideas are deceptively profound obviously) and this was very engaging and readable. I would describe it as breathing new life into tried-and-tested wisdom. It was also helpful to me as someone who has gone through some similar things to Lori Deschene's past experiences. Her willingness to share was helpful to me at least, and her style was really uplifting (even when she's describing some really sad times, which is quite an achievement). The quotes from others were also great. Thank you to all! Great, digestible, bedtime or beach/park/relaxing reading. One of the few similar self-helpy/Buddhist-flavored books I've read that really made me feel inspired and that the goals were possible, and one I might consider giving to others, especially people going through hard, self-doubting, anxious times.

Soothes my soul
I have been struggling with personal issues recently and was searching for books, websites, anything that could help me calm my mind. I stumbled on [...] and it was like a whole new way of looking at life was opened up to me. I learned that Lori, the administrator of the website, also wrote this book and I promptly purchased it from Amazon and Audible, so that I could both read and listen to it. I think Tiny Buddha is one of the best investments I have ever made with my time and money. I enjoyed reading about her personal challenges and how each one related to the lesson she was trying to share. I have already read the book twice and I think I will continue to go back to it to glean more pearls of wisdom.

So very full of valuable, useful ideas and thoughts
I was eager to receive Lori's book. Lori is my favorite blogger. Her posts on Tiny Buddha are simple yet deep, practical yet not obvious, and plentiful yet not overwhelming. Lori's book is full of the same positives as her blog. On her blog, Lori regularly provides suggestions from her life experiences; in the book that's even more compelling as she weaves her life story, her struggles, and her growth into the narrative. I read the book straight through, because that's what I do. (Others will read it over time. This book works either way.) Now I'm going back and reviewing my notes and I'm looking forward to incorporating into my life, over time, the many ideas I took from the book, which will then take its place on the bookshelf that holds my other favorite books.- David J. A Tiny Gem!
I became of fan of Tiny Buddha on Facebook before even knowing that a book was in the works. I'm glad I found the website and even more grateful for Lori's thoughtful, practical and insightful words. This book is simple and honest; there is no conceit or arrogance in its pages. It doesn't preach. Instead it offers gentle encouragement and mindful advice on how to get through some of life's challenges. Lori doesn't pretend to know the answers. She had the courage to ask the questions, was open to hearing the perspectives and insights of others and was gracious enough to share what she learned. Reading this book reminded me that I'm not alone and that I have everything I need within me to have the life I want. Tiny Buddha has helped me find peace and I know it will do the same for others.

The book exceeded my expectations!
I am a faithful reader of the tiny Buddha blog. I was not sure about the book and if I would gain any additional insight. I decided to give it a try and LOVED it! I took it in vacation and could not put it down. It was comforting to know I am not the only one out there that has not figured it all out yet. I particularly liked the end of each chapter with it's exercises and thought provoking questions. I sometimes find these type of books overwhelming but this one felt just right! This is one to buy for yourself and that friend who is also trying to figure it all out! Great job Lori!

Just one long rant
I wasn't very happy with this book, I felt like it was just a monologue about the author's sucky life before she found whatever it was that turned her into some kind of wise deity. It's not a book I go back to or that particularly perks me up when I'm feeling down and it certainly doesn't have ANY answers to life's hard questions! Ha!
