Exactly what I needed!
It is what it is! And it's exactly what I needed! I bought a Ruger 10/22 compact. It has the Ruger modular stock. It came with the comact/youth insert and I had a hard time getting a natural position for my scope's eye relief. With the extra couple inches of length of pull and the cheek riser I can now easily and naturally find my ideal eye relief position.

Yep, it works, and helps if you have optics. However, don't do what I did and buy this before you receive your rifle - because all new american rimfires come with one of these in the box.

Factory fit because it is a factory part!
Fits like factory because it is, I aight the compact model because I wanted the shorter barrel, this now makes it the same pull length as the standard with the compact barrel length. Fits perfectly
