These High, Green Hills: The Mitford Years, Book 3

I like this series as the characters seem to come to life on the pages.

These books are my obsession right now and I’ve been able to order them from Amazon! I will be ordering the whole series!

I enjoyed getting to know the residents of Mitford. It feels as though I know each one, but I am not ready to leave this beautiful mountain town. I can't wait to begin the next book in this series!

Midfort is a small town with great residents and their unique personalities. Her writing is perfect for relaxing with a good book.

Absolutely loved the first 2 books and loving this one(half way through)Such details and so many characters each with a personality all their own! You really can get swept away and feel apart the little town of Mitford.

Jan Karon never fails to make me tear up just a little, but this book has some tear jerkers inside! Can’t wait to read the next one… even if this ids my third time through the series…

This book was a gift for my sister who loved it. She is a Mitford fan and is currently running through the series in chronologoical order. She loves them all! I read the first three novels in the series and enjoyed them very much too. That's why I felt comfortable rating this one 5 stars. All the stories are sweet, gentle, fun, entertaining and populated with interesting and endearing characters. There is always just a hint of trouble or spice in the community of Mitford which keeps the stories realistic and entertaining. I highly recommend the entire series for a little escape. Whenever I had a stressful day, I'd grab my reading glasses and tell my husband, "I'm going to MItford!"

This is the second time i have read Jan Karon's Mitford books and if anything I am enjoying them more than the first time. I will point out that I never read books twice until now. They are just wonderful and I feel are truly inspired. they are very "American" but as i read a lot of American books that is no problem for me.

Another great book from Jan Karon. This is the third book in the ' Mitford ' series, and each one just seems to get better and better. Just ordered part 4.

This book is heart warming, funny, well written, and has a unpredictable plot. Excellent story. The author describes not only the looks of the characters, but their personalities, and after a few pages, you feel well acquainted with them. She has an unexpected sense of humour, which I found refreshing.

This whole series is wholesome and heartwarming, and very funny too.
