The media could not be loaded. Very impressed with this metal casing dash cam. The main advantage of this unit over other full feature dash cams is the metal casing and size. I had a cheap camera that melted during hot summer days that are made from plastic. Size is perfect, I can easily hide this cam behind the review mirror while providing a large LCD screen for easy reviewing and adjustment of settings. The install in my car was simple and straight forward as it came with 2 suction cup that screws into the metal casing and a cigarette lighter adapter that is fairly long in length, just in case you want to route it thru the A-pillar. I love some of features this camera offers which are 2 selectable recording angles (normal and wide angle), sensitivity adjustment of impact for recording during an accident(automatically saving clips), and sensitivity adjustment of impact for parking(turning on camera and recording). Camera quality is definitely noticeably better than lower priced units I have used in the past. License plates are legible in idea conditions. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit for the price and features it offer!Update: Just added a video clip, Amazon compressed the video, the original quality is much better.

Whoever designed the software for navigating the menus did a poor job, especially considering how many buttons this thing has. Things that would seem obvious to most modern people defy logic as to how they came up with function button assignment and menu navigation. This is worse than the first gen BMW i-drive.It does produce clear, sharp daytime video. I've yet to view a nighttime video, but I may update this listing in the future. You can view files on the camera, but it's a pain navigating through them.It has an internal battery, and automatically starts when its on an ignition switched power source. If you have a constant on power switch you'll have to unplug the cigarette lighter adapter to shut of the camera, or use the power switch and remember to turn it back on when you start driving again. You'll need an adapter to hard wire it because the cable end has a voltage regulator to drop the power from 12-14 volts down to 5 volts. Either that or you'll need to do some soldering.The lens appears to be glass, which is nice, especially considering that this will wind up in purses, pockets or glove boxes in theft prone areas.I like the solid feeling metal housing, it feels like an aluminum body, giving it a higher quality feel.

Really nice dash camera for an affordable price. Only thing I didn’t like is there isn’t an option if you want to hard wire the camera into the car versus using the cigarette lighter for power. Not having the nice features of being able to connect to your phone and such isn’t nice, but for this price it’s what you expect and it’s worth it

After my husband I each got hit by other drivers in the same day, we decided it was time to invest in a good camera. I took a chance and ordered two of these. They came promptly, were easy to set up, and they stick real well. I have mine mounted on the off-side of my rearview mirror so that it doesn't distract me while driving. These give me peace of mind, knowing that I have them in case anything happens. I'm sure there are ones with better picture quality, however I can read license plates just fine, so I am very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend them for anyone who is looking to pick up an affordable camera!

The quality of the picture is great both during the day and at night time and it comes with lots of features.It is a shame that trouble free usage and bug free is not one of included features.I have had many dash cams, but this is the first one that is constantly breaking down, jams, and requires a re-set. If a week goes by when it works properly I consider myself lucky.Waste of money, have already had to buy a replacement one!

The camera is great but I have to say that it almost got sent back after a couple days of use. The screen suddenly had horizontal lines running through so that nothing, including the menu, could be seen. I followed the instructions to do a factory reset but without change. When I contacted amazon to send it back, I was offered an opportunity to chat online with an Amazon tech. He asked me to reset it WHILE PLUGGED IN and it worked beautifully. There were still some shadow lines but they cleared up after a few days. Overall a great buy.

After buying a Pilot and then Jeemak Dash cameras both which failed for dysfunctional settings and picture quality, respectively, I succeeded with a Yon Rui Dash Cam. The input settings were stored as they should be and the picture quality needed a little tweak. I have a D-cam that looks like it will last. Its sturdy zinc-coated metal body has a feel of longevity especially since there was no issue with its functions. The camera's recommended exposure setting of 0 should be moved down a notch or two to ( - minus) for the most pleasing image quality. Otherwise, 0 is too bright, which in itself is good for capturing dimly lit scenes better than what the human eye is capable of. If the camera continues to function as it has so far, you won't hear from me - all is good! Otherwise, I'll give you an update. SEPT 21 UPDATE: MOUNT TIGHTENING KNOB BROKE/REPLACED. CABLE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY

No matter how many time I set up to current date. It fall back to prior year. That's error of programing. Not worthiness. And could not return after time frame.
