Excellent overview of the different natural horsemanship techniques available
This book gives an excellent overview of the various different natural horsemanship training techniques available. There are a few basic groundwork exercises to showcase the training methods which allows you to select the one you feel most suitable to your own values. I was able to chose which method suited me and my horse and then I bought the book relevant to that method.

Fantastic Book! Buy it!
I cannot rave about this book enough - it gives tips on training both young and older horses and goes through the basics of Parelli, Kelly Marks etc ... I found it invaluable for groundwork, and this has created a very special bond and respect between me and my horse. And Im glad I did as she's a 18hh 5 year old shire! It tells you all about gaining their respect and visa versa and I cannot stress enough how EVERY SINGLE RIDER/OWNER in the UK should have this book.If you are having problems with your horse, having a crisis of confidence, or simply want to get that bond of trust and respect between you and your horse, then this is the book for you. ANY FORWARD THINKING RIDER/OWNER SHOULD BUY THIS BOOK.

This book is awesome
Lot's of good information and great pictures. It lists the ideas of several trainers so you can try various methods and see what works well for your horse. I carry it to the barn all the time and try to do something everyday. So far I used some of the parelli stuff, join-up and TTEAM, all of which have been helpful in its own way.

More talk - less action
It is a nice book, but not what I expected. This book covers mostly the ideas behind some of the prominent "Natural Horsemanship" methods and gives a few basic exercises you can do with your horse (which was pretty much the same one/idea just different method). But then that was it. The book never expanded on what else you can do besides get your horse to go in a circle in a round pen, or walk over/around some poles. If you want a book to explain the different "natural horsemanship" methods so you can decide which trainer(s) you would like to further learn from - this book will help you. If you are looking for a book which will give you exercises that you can do to get your horse thinking and moving with you, this book falls short.
