1 Esk 19 Rules the World
Book one is stunning, breathtaking, gorgeous and amazing. Books two and three aren't up to that kind of world-shaking excellence, but you're still involved, and they're still good. Will be heralded as a classic, along with all the other greats.

Manners in Space!!! Probably one of the best series I'll ever read.
Dude! Oh my god, dude! These books are super duper fun to read. Just the right amount of sci fi and narrative. The importance of symbolic acts, valuable heirlooms, building trust, getting revenge, all kinds of awesome stuff. I absolutely love just how important the little acts are - a subtle gesture of respect, a cold snub - these are truly the meat and potatoes of humanity's future. Tea is the medium humans use to convey the ultimate derision or admiration. That one kinda a-hole lieutenant with the empty tea cup that morning - ha! What an idiot! A mean girl said "you're boring" to a shy girl and will probably have to get a corrective brain implant as punishment. Watch your manners in this future, yo! Whatever the opposite of schizophrenia is, a girl with colorful eyes becomes super powerful because of it. A beautiful garden on a space station gets, like, totally ruined. Just sooo good, dude. I've read a bunch of sci-fi recently that I've loved from lots of authors. Ann Leckie is master of the craft.

Nice Books, But Container Box Too Tight
The books were nice. My only complaint is that the box the books come in from the publisher is too small for the books. The pressure from the books caused the box to split on in one place and the corners of the two outer books were somewhat bent. I had to tear the box apart to get the books out.

Regret buying the trilogy
Ancillary Justice won a Hugo, Nebula, and Clarke (I believe?) award. So, it must be mind blowing awesome scifi, right? No, it won those awards for being politically correct, and the complete lack of awards for the two sequels proves (to me, anyway) that the first novel's awards were knee jerk, not well considered. What am i talking about? The worst part is, the PC driven awards were based on not understanding the characters in the novel. In short: An A.I. does not know how to discern gender in bio life forms, so it uses the wrong pronoun from time to time with a resigned sigh, using "she" most often out of irritation. That's it, folks. The voters who piled awards on this novel did not read it, they read reviews by others, but did not read it. I've read their comments, praising the author for her gender neutral progressive stance. This novel is so damn boring I've spent 4 months trying to get thru it, to say nothing of the sequels. I grabbed this set after buying the Kindle edition of #1, and read the first chapter, and expected it to move along, but it's such a slog. I'll probably donate this to Goodwill.

Too many unpronoucable names clutter up the story
As stated in my title

Well conceived furture World
Well done -- hangs together well. Very interesting concept of multiple bodies with one mind. Recommended for serious sci fi fans

flimsy box
I purchased this boxed set as a gift...thinking a boxed set is a bit more special than separate books. Turns out the paper of the box is thin and flimsy. If much used (i.e. books removed and returned to box) will become dog-eared, torn, etc.Not the box packaging I was anticipating.

unreadable
if a book can not capture you within the first 50 pages, it might be.. well.. not so good.the only reason this gets 2 stars is because of some of the ideas presented, and the only reason this attempt on scifi got ANY awards is, as many have already pointed out, because it rides on The Message, which is the only thing that counts nowadays, apparently.

Traut euch!

Best thing I've read in years
These books are a fantastic read! I haven't read anything this interesting, original, and compelling in years. Can't recommend the trilogy enough.
