VENSMILE Under Hood Animal Repeller Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent Mice Chaser for Car

I had some expensive rodent damage to the wiring in my car undercarriage (twice within seven weeks!), so I purchased this along with some liquid rodent repellent which I spray on the driveway where the car is parked. Now I no longer see chipmunks running from beneath my car when I come out in the morning to leave for work, so I think it is working well. It attaches to the car battery and automatically turns on when the car is parked and turns off when the car is moving. If it prevents further rodent damage, it will be well worth the reasonable price.

We've lived in the country for almost six years and were unaware of the damage mice can do to our vehicles until they chewed the wires in my RAV4 two years ago and then last year they did the same to my husbands pickup. After trying Irish Spring soap chips, moth balls and any other ideas we found on the internet I found these and my husband installed them in both vehicles. That took care of the wiring problem but last month we found evidence of mice inside my RAV4. Believe it or not our mice like the tiny oak acorns all over our yard. So, for the interior we now use large sticky traps with one tiny acorn laid in the middle. Snap traps with cheese or bacon didn't do it and our mice are too big for the small sticky traps. Results? The electronic device keeps our engine and wiring free of mice and the traps catch the ones that get into the interior. Problem eliminated.

Bought this product to help protect vehicle wiring from mice. However, a field mouse was spotted under the hood recently and we put sticky traps under hood as well. Tested the repeller and it was charged. Don’t know what’s going on.

I purchased 2 as ground squirrels here love to move into the glove compartments and air filters. One of them stopped operating after 2 days, the other doesn't seem to work, the critters ignore it. I almost didn't install them as they looked cheaply made and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, by the time I installed them and tried them out, I missed my return date........

This item does not keep cats out from underneath engine bay.. but works on small rodents. Also very good customer service and fast shipping.

Not effective. Was working properly but did not stop a rodent from knawing away at plastic a foot away.
