Fabulous!! Pain Free!!!
I used to have excruciating pain during the descent on planes that would last long after the flight and my ears would still be clogged up for a few days after. Then, I found EarPlanes. They would help for air pressure pain, as well as eliminate the clogged ears for days, but they also cause pain in the ear even when I would wear them just for the descent due to the ridges that they have. The Flents Flite Mates on the other hand have no ridges. They go in smoothly and cause no pain and work just as well or really better since there's no pain at all. I do still have to blow out through my ears (by holding my nose with my mouth closed when blowing) every so often, but I had to do that with the other ones too.I was also able to use these for more flights than the other ones. The other ones collect much, much more ear wax whereas these hardly do. I was even able to wear my earbuds with these on so I could still listen to music or watch the movie or play games and have audio. My kids loved the kids ones too and were fighting over them since I only had one pair of those. My older daughter (11yo) ended up using the adult ones so that my little one (8yo) could use the kids ones. I will definitely keep these on hand for unexpected flights. What a great product!!

Worthless!
Don't bother buying these. They do not reduce sound or air pressure while flying, and they tend to fall out. You are better off stuffing a wad of toilet paper in your ears because that will do a better job than Flents Flite Mate Pressure Reducing Ear Plugs. I bought a pair of these for myself and a pair for my wife for a recent trip to Ireland. We both found them useless!

I should not have worried -- they are great.
I've used Ear Planes for years, and they work very well, although they can be uncomfortable and even a bit painful. But they were worth it, because the pain of not using them was so much greater. When I wanted to reorder them recently, I discovered these Flents, as an alternative. I posed a question here, and was told that the Flents would be fine. Still, I was a bit nervous, with a vacation coming up that entailed two flights in each direction. I was afraid of possibly ruining my vacation if the Flents didn't work (before discovering EarPlanes, not only did I get severe pain upon descent, but I was also deaf in one ear for over a day after landing). So, I wore the EarPlanes on the two flights out, and even on one flight back. On the very last flight, I decided to give the Flents a try, and they worked great! No discomfort, no pain from corkscrews. I kept them in for the entire flight, which was about 3 hours. Next time, I won't be afraid to use them for all flights, and might be brave enough to remove them during the flight, if it's long enough to make this worthwhile.

Works well with some adjustment
These worked well once I could get them in correctly. It took me a few times to get these in right. I couldn't get them in securely without trying a few times. I wore these on a trip to Italy where I was getting over a cold and my ears were somewhat plugged. I was terrified that my eardrums would rupture or something. I went to the doctor and he gave me a prescription for the steroid med pack. I also took a decongestant before the flight. In addition, I chewed gum. These Flents were my security blanket and they worked on the flight there. On the flight home, I don't think I had a tight enough seal because I had to reuse a pair after my tries to get them in right and they weren't as tight as they should have been. They definitely helped but I did have some pain on decent. Do yourself a favor and get 4 or more pairs if you have never used them before. You will have backups while you practice putting them in. The packaging even says to use them once, they don't work as well if you put them in and take them out a few times. If you get them in right, you will save yourself a lot of pain!

Meh. Didn't work for me
I have used Earplanes for years to help alleviate the majority of my ear discomfort when I fly.I purchased the Flight Mates because they can be used on more flights than the Earplanes, thereby making them far more cost effective. However, I didn't find them easy to insert or comfortable to wear at all.I was also rather disappointed in the instructions that came with these....no diagrams, vague at best.I had to find a YouTube video to get more information on the product and that video wasn't even from the manufacture.FYI you insert the clear ends into your ears by twisting until all 3 prongs are inserted into the ears canal. The blue ends will stick out a little bit so if you're wanting to use these ear plugs with headphones, make sure they are OVER the ear headphones. In Flight Mates defense I use the Children's Size of Earplanes and Flight Mates only come in one size and it's far to large for my small ears.I don't see how these can be used with children or adults with small ears, like myself.IF these came in a smaller size I might try them again but in the meantime I will stick with my tried and true EarPlanes.Since, I couldn't get these inserted comfortably I don't actually know how well they work....if at all.In closing I strongly suggest that Apothecary up their game on the sizing and marketing of these plugs.Include diagrammed instructions, smaller sizes, etc.
