SO CALMING
I GUESS YOU SHOULD BE WARNED THAT THE CATS SAVE AN ISLAND BEING OVERRUN BY RATS BY KILLING THEM BUT I LOVE THE BOOK -- MY FAVORITE SCENES ARE WHEN THE CAPTAIN IS SURROUNDED BY CATS ON THE SHIP. I AM 80 YEARS OLD AND I THINK THIS BOOK LOWERS MY BLOOD PRESSURE.

We have read "A House in the Woods", "Six Dinner Sid" and also have Inga Moore's illustrated "Wind in the Willows". My 5 year old loves these books! I love them too and enjoy poring over all the details in the illustrations. Captain Cat is delightful! A lovely, gentle adventure story to go with the brilliant illustrations.

This is a delightfully weird book. My two kids (ages 8 and 3) are fans of A HOUSE IN THE WOODS, and this one is another hit from Inga Moore.

FOR THE LOVE OF CATS! Good book
5 year old grandson liked it. We love cats. Loved the twists and turns of the story.Wonderful illustrations. Lots of fun

Delightful
I bought this for my niece - though I admit I didn't send it before I read it first! It's beautifully illustrated, and even when there are seemingly hundreds of cats on the page, each one seems to have its own personality. The story is simple and sweet and children will love it. It has an unexpected happy ending so what more could you want?

Lovely illustrations and great story.
Bought this as a present for my 8 year old son who loves 'Six dinner Sid'. This is by the same author and he loves this too.

Lovely illustrations
My six year old daughter loves this book, the illustrations are really lovely, and the gentle story makes us laugh. We borrowed it from the library and found it so hard to part with that we had to have a copy of our own.
